Incorrect. Pavlich was given votes by a few clubs, WC being one of them cos he was BOG against them twice.
Pretty sure WC wouldn't go out of their way to help Pav win an award.
He actually is a reasonable kick, but he has a sensational handball. Everyone assumes that he can't kick because he always handballs.
Brett Peake was made for this thread...nobody else comes close.
This is my team at the moment, with 5 trades and 240K left:
B: H. Shaw, Johncock, Milburn, Gram, Gilbee, Goddard, King, Urqhart, L. Hansen
C: Bartel, Cross, Goodwin, M. Murphy, Hayes, McNamara, Dalziel, C. Ward
R: Cox, Simmons, Kreuzer, Leunberger
F: Pavlich, Franklin, J. Brown, Didak...
Yeah that's a fair call, but Chappy was ultra-cheap at the time I needed to trade out an injured mid, so it made sense. At least now I have plenty of guns to choose from when I trade him out.
I'm thinking of trading Chappy for either Corey (430K), K. Cornes (390K) or Hayes (340K). I will have 5 trades after this one, so the extra cash may come in handy if Hayes can score up around the 100, I'm leaning towards him.
Any suggestions?
Shame us fans couldn't farewell the great man in style, but he was never one to want a fuss made over his achievements.
Congrats on an outstanding career Belly :thumbsu:
B: Johncock McPharlap Hayden
HB: McLeod C. Cornes Malceski
C: Richo Mitchell Palmer
HF: R. Murphy J. Brown O'Keefe
F: Chapman Pavlich Didak
R: Cox Judd Ablett
Int: Sandilands S. Black B. Johnson Goodwin
Sorry about sticking Cornes at CHB, but he's played a lot of his career there.
You can't be serious, the bloke is coming 3rd in the Coleman after spending large chunks of games in the midfield.
You're a joke mate and you don't deserve to be able to start new threads if you're going to post rubbish like that.
When he's not tripping opposition players like the coward he is, maybe.
For the Dockers, Shaun McManus (it's about the only thing he can do) - that mark he took in the derby a few years back was the most courageous thing I've seen on a football field.
Other than that, Campbell Brown would...
Gibbs is the only player that I want to trade this week - I'm worried that he is going to continually tag opposition players and I'm not willing to sit and watch while it happens.
I have the option of upgrading him for someone like Lenny Hayes or downgrading him to Callan Ward from WB.
I...
Assuming both are named this week, who does everyone think is the better long term prospect for both scoring well and playing regular games (they have both averaged 66 in their first 2 games).
Or is it worth taking a risk on Callan Ward, who has only played 1 game (for 49) - Doggies supporters...
Can I get some help please, I have 13 trades left and 50K in the bank. I'm looking to make some cash so that I have the ability to make some good upgrades coming into finals time.
The players that I'm willing to trade out are Wona (Have him as a back, I think his price has peaked - BE of 72...
We have a few down at Freo - J. Carr, Farmer, Solomon.
Other than that, Crawford, Lewis, Hodge & Mitchell are proving to be fairly reckless lately.
Oh yeah, let's not forget the most recless and dirty of them all when he wants to be - Dustin "I should have been out for the season for...
For everyone saying Robert Murphy and Daniel Bradshaw, all they have done is get back to the form that they were in before their knee ops (a little quicker than everyone expected by Bradshaw) - it doesn't make them the most improved player in the comp.
1. Porps
2. Bateman
3. Medhurst
4. Bock...
Glad you said besides a flag, cos I would have definitely gone for that GF we won
Would have to be JLo kicking truly after the siren, to knock of the Saints and keep our finals hopes alive (we still missed them) in '05 (I think).
I know it's not 65m to the centre square, but when he kicks it from 5-10m inside the centre square and clears the goal line (like he did in the Melbourne game), it makes it a 65m kick, idiot :p
And on kick outs, we know that the goal square is 10m, but if you kick it to the centre circle...
Pavlich has been kicking goals from 65 all year - the ones against Melbourne & Carlton from well inside the centre square come to mind.
One name I'm surprised to not see mentioned is Tim Notting.
Get your hand off it -Ttis isn't 2001 mate. Granted Aker has had an improved year, but Daniel Kerr is a champion of the game and will prove it when he returns from suspension this week. His brownlow performances in the past 3 years speak for themselves.
There shouldn't be a free kick paid for that, but it wouldn't surprise me if there was. The umpires seem to be gradually paying more and more kicks when players make a skill error (this includes paying deliberate out of bounds for missing a target).
It also frustrates me when a team is under...
