2 Listed as ' retiring' that equals 2 +1 Listed as ' playing elsewhere that equals 3 +1 Listed as ' retiring / playing elsewhere equals 4 + 2 Listed as ' playing Melb (elsewhere) equals 6 and 1 Listed as ' retiring / injured...
Firstly I am unsure why there is a suggestion that I would have been involved with the club during any period let alone the years quoted. And you are right PTF ‘You hear a lot of things which have very little substance or are factual 93”. I am not sure how I could appear strongly towards one...
As I mentioned "From what I heard" and from what I heard was nothing like has been portrayed here. (I thought everyone could add the little smileys)
From what I hear from over Timbercutter way the club maybe happy to see some, by all means not all, of the above mentioned people retire/play elsewhere;).
Noticed there was one guy missing on the bench that has done a really good job helping the two's coach all year, I think his name is Andy someone, was he away or did the senior coach just take over the reins.
The hard part about Hay joining the comp is the junior footy it makes it a very long day for the kids getting up early to travel and then getting home very late if the parents like to watch the seniors, which you probably would if you were travelling all that way.:thumbsu:
Fair point, but the way I read the article I don't think anyone was using the umps as an excuse more disappointed in the way the situation was handled. :)
I actually read that article PP and I beleve the Mathoura coach was very professional in the interview and all credit to him on a very dissapointing situation. Do you know if the full foward actually kicked the goal that the coach mentioned in the paper? He has kicked a lot of goals in his time...
Well you were right Herb it was a bg call not much of a game only four goals scored for the entire game. wet conditions but still, even the guys that have been around for awhile were dropping easy chest marks and not gettting their bodies behind the ball.
Could be Herb but i just think with the big celebrations huge crowd it may be just like a final and generally players lift a notch it that situtation, i may be wrong though:thumbsu::)
Yeah heard that on the grapevine it was the 100 for the timbercutters, hope they can get over the top Picola so everyone can enjoy the celebrations, but I don't think it will be an easy assignment Picola are traveling nicely at this stage. Anyway congrats on the 100 yrs and all the best for the...
You make some very good points there Pace, very interesting reading. The point you make about the ATO is very valid and you would hope that committee members are aware of it, well done. Having played over 240 games with one club and never been paid, I fully concur with what you have said about...
Great to see a club sticking with the Kids, when they are treated right and looked after the club generally has a good long term future. All the best signing a couple of players to sure up the list it sounds the club is on the way up.:thumbsu:
Point taken, but didn't realise I was going down the same path, just seemed like one of the more interesting topics to chat about. Having played in a league where ex AFL Vfl players played it really lifts the profile and oppositon players seem to have a bit more of a crack, ends up good footy to...
Not sure what you are getting at Pace but I am interested in the outcome of wether JJ is playing at Mathoura or any ex Afl / Vfl player will line in the Picola league as I believe that it would be great for the League to see any one of these guys around our area would be super. Might just create...
