In news from the Nodders, Adrian Connelly was sacked late last week as coach. Terrible, terrible decision.
Word is the new coach was approached 4 weeks ago - if true, bad form by the committee.
I didn't bring the game into disrepute, Essendon did........wow wee Gary.....
Someone needs to tell Jimmy once and for all what the responsibilities of a senior AFL coach are....
Just think, these young me put their trust in this guy....
I'm maybe blind as a bat, but can someone please point to where ASADA, the AFL or any of the lawyers representing any party are calling this an ASADA interview in the news reports that Lance has posted?
This is an interesting one as I would have thought Banyule provided a 'point of difference' in the area. Now they are competing on level terms with their competitors, I would think the change would be easier for players to move for greater money offers. Banyule's operating costs will explode...
I'm not sure if this has been discussed but it was said yesterday (I think) that lawyers for Essendon and Hird have asked the court to set aside more days as they think this cannot be wrapped up in 3 but the request has been has been declined. It also stated that Middleton had been booked to be...
Are you suggesting that the Bombers are spending $Millions (of which they don't have) on court cases just to rub it in the faces of the AFL and the Public??
You may be right, after all this was the club that hired an expert who can't say for sure what form of Thymosin he was injecting 100s of...
Why would an expert need to clarify something 24 hours later? Surely when he was quizzed about it, he would have clarified his comments there and then.
If he did get it wrong, you have to ask yourself what type of moron they employed to run a highly sophisticated supplement program that was...
Very good pro-Bombers piece.
Still cannot get my head around the fact that Essendon now claim to know what exactly the players have taken. Great! So the whole league can get back to football, why haven't they used the information to clear this whole mess up? Why are they still spending...
Are you trying to say that by ASADA not finding Essendon or Cronulla having a case to answer the government would cut their funding as a vindictive measure for embarrassing them?
Wouldn't this make it easier for teams like Essendon or Cronulla to cheat which would embarrass them further?
Can anyone explain to me why Dank would withhold evidence that clears him and Essendon?
Can anyone explain to me why he would let his reputation be savaged and have his credibility shot if he has the evidence to prove his program is legal?
Listening to that interview and with him stating that...
Did anyone hear Chip Le Grand on Fox Sports News?
The story he was peddling sounded so ridiculous I can't believe he believes it!
Sort of went like this - Charter sourced the Thymosin (Beta 4) but the box was only labelled Thymosin, Alvi made it up and wanted to get it tested because you can...
They were 0 and 7 and beat the Nodders in Rd 8 to win their first game as I recall.
Also, re: Dom Berry, I think he is the only player EVER to be cleared to play after the June 30 deadline as he was that year.
How many B Grade VAFA games have you seen?? I'm not here to debate which comp is better as I think its a useless debate, but I will say as someone that gets around to see alot of different leagues, the standards of B Grade and Div 2 EFL are not that much different. Which is better, its in the...
I have been told that Brunswick St Oval is considered open public space, so the club can do little to stop people from coming and having a beer while watching the footy. I believe the only part they have control of is the grand stand and the area below it.
The U/18s is a concept that the clubs haven't indulged in. My club, Mazenod, have gone down this path on the advice it is a growing competition which is being supported by the competition. This is certainly not the case with even less teams in this year than last. I always thought that we...
Any practice match results?
The Nodders beat Old Brighton by 3 or 4 goals. Moved the ball quite well. Couple of the Nodder young recruits look very handy. They will be better than I thought.
Was informed by a very reliable source that the 2s/u/19s went down by 6 goals and the seniors by 10. Not bad from a Premier C team against a powerhouse EFL Div 1 club.
Fosters, I think you will find that A Grade clubs have the same problems as D4 clubs mate. All VAFA clubs, regardless of the grade, lose players to the money leagues. But just like your club, the majority of players play to play with their mates and alot of them turn down money offers each...
Agreed mate. The VAFA was initially told that all players must have been playing in the competition in 2013 to be eligible. This "rule" was used for the previous 3 games the VAFA played the EFL. Somewhere along the line this was changed. Not sure why.
As a supporter of a local footy club...
Yes, some names are well documented on the A Grade board but I'm hearing a few more may have jumped ship. I hear a couple have signed with an inner city B Grade club and the total of guys moving on is at about 10. That would have to hurt is that was the case???
It seems BigFooty has turned into a place where everyone can partake in all sorts of scurrilous rumours and innuendo unless a poster has a vested interest - then its poor form. Its happened on the D4 board and now here.
I enjoy Roosters well informed views and his posts are always...
