Honestly, I would of preferred Walker going over Phil. This is a huge blow for the AFC's defender stocks, the only reason Bock's departure last year wasn't taken as bad was because we knew we had a solid up and coming CHB in Davis. **** GWS, I bet you they offerred him something 'Ward' ridiculous.
Re: Injuries and Suspensions - 2011
Well thanks to Heath I will be getting a 0 in the backs this week and playing the number one team in one of my leagues who of course does not have Shaw. Brilliant.
I was just thinking this the other day. I remember when it was referred to as more of a sandpit rather than a grass field. Whatever they've done, the surface has improved remarkably.
No one deserves to suffer from such a horrible disease :(
It makes me happy that you've been able to travel and experience life with as minimal disturbance as you possibly can with such a condition. My Mum's best friend whose been a second mum to me is terminal and was given 16 months to live...
My deepest regards for Toots and his family and friends.
That sucks man :(, best wishes for your son's recovery. Having worked within Oncology/Paediatrics I can tell you that your son is in great hands :)
I guess it can also be argued that midfielders usually take less time to mature then KPPs so it is better grabbing the latter first.
I remember reading Rendell's reasoning for picking up numerous KPPs in that the current draft and future drafts coming up had a sparser amount of quality talls...
Big improvement over his last few games, thought he was a lot better under pressure, definitely no where near as many clangers and didn't spoil the ball off any team mates this week. So all in all a passing mark for the skipper!
Carrying a chest infection and a sore hamstring yet still glad I made the trip tonight.
Btw I had the scarf wrapped around my mouth so no escaped contagions to supporters and players alike :).
Re: Vent Thread
Feel your pain Glenno, my easiest opponent out of my league games this round has the best score by a mile in the league as well as his personal best for the season. Had the C on Judd, bastard.
Liking the positive thread OP :thumbsu:
Thought Talia showed great future promise tonight, very similar to Davis in his debut.
We do have a plethora of KPP's, it's just a shame that we currently have limited guns to deliver the ball to them.
But good on ya for having the balls to post your score anyway, this weekly thread is always about bragging rather then discussing.
992/11, rookies playing better then a lot of supposed premiums lately. Don't give a rats, got to see a Crowies win :)
It shouldn't, but I can just imagine the Advertiser headlines now. The general reaction that I've seen and heard to the final round PA move has been very positive among both club supporters and neutral supporters alike.
Re: Injuries and Suspensions - 2011
I reckon it's a combination of both. Even though I rate Knighta as a player, he'll continue to be a deadweight for everyone's DT this year.
If you have the luxury of waiting then do so, but I went McEvoy because I never had Smith and Petrie is my back up ruck so I'd be looking at a doughnut in my first week of finals. If you have none of my issues, then Goldstein would be a safer bet when considering age and durability.
Before Adcock's injury and his 3 horrible scores, does anyone remember where he was placed on the field when selected? I'm looking to grab him once his price bottoms out but I'm just worried Voss isn't going to play him in the midfield as much and keep him as a defender.
Glad for both Port and SA footy, moving in the right direction. I've already got a Port mate and neutral supporter planning to come along :thumbsu:. Hopefully it's a Saturday night game.
Re: Adelaide Oval Game in 2011?
Urghh, please don't use AdelaideNow comments as an example of a supporter base's opinion. We all know that place is the excrement of online opinion.
FWIW, I'm all for it. I might even go I reckon. I hope more games are played there by both teams in the lead...
