And played without a KPD (although Scrim has grown into a genuine CHB).
Lost by the width of a goal post from outside 50m.
Really should win 2025.
I reckon we keep most sides to <12 goals this season. Some to <5 goals.
That's my thinking & why it would likely only be considered on Draft Night:
1. Who is still there, &,
2. Do we have bigger plans for 2025 & beyond.
This play would give us 2x 2025 1sts, with the ability to trade 2x future 1sts. Pick purchasing could net us another 1st, so there's a scenario...
It's obviously a question for Draft Night, but I wonder what value clubs would put on 33 + F2?
I'd be pretty happy to trade out of this Draft into a 2025 1st, if that we're at all possible.
He & Frost are probs my favourite current Hawks. I'm really interested to see how/where he comes back, be it at FF or whether he can get up to CHF. Might be that we play him deep for 2025 & worry about CHF later :shrug:
Anything like Bailey Smith*, with elite speed & spread, but questionable disposal?
*not that I think Smith's kicking is diabolical but it's definitely not his strength.
*I don't consider Smith a 'competitive beast', either. Just trying to get a comparison.
Spend it on a 'slider' (someone we rate, who hasn't been picked up yet) or select best player available that isn't Cody.
If there's nobody we want then trade the Pick into 2025 & select Cody with whatever junk we have left over (70's picks will come into 50's).
Reid is welcome to give up 10+ years @ $1.5m to play badminton for free if he wants to.
Gunston is under no obligation to play footy. He's had more success than 99% of players ever will & he's part-way transitioned into the next phase of his footy career (mentor/coach). His 2025 salary is...
LDU be a better replacement for a Worpel than Brayshaw, wouldn't be?
*not that Worpel is leaving. Just continuing the conversation.
I reckon LDU would be a pretty good target either way.
