Last years trade period will go down in history. If you were to crystal ball that Bobby would kick 4 and get the norm smith, Mitchell would get 24 and 13 tackles, Billy F would fill a role, and McStay and Markov would help us get to the granny, you’d be absolutely over the moon….

It'll all have been said / written at this point in terms of Pendles, Daicos, De Goey, Bobby Hill and co., but one bloke who has flown under the radar is Tom Mitchell.
Was immense in the Prelim and then again today in the GF.
His work in tight and defensive workrate were enormous.
Jack Crisp with his endurance and ability to just run all day was bloody fantastic, too.

Pendles was huge in the last.
Mitchell got his hands dirty all day.
DeGoey and Naicos class.
Bobby Hill was magic.
Crisp is our running man.

Worried when Murphy went down and we weren't converting in front of the big sticks... But we did what we've done all season - played every minute and contolled games no matter how close.

Touch disrespectful to our Framp-chise player, mate.
 
What won us the flag? Know your role and play it.
What a game! Even the guys that played average had a few moments that impacted.
Lipinski, so poor last week really energised us around the footy, Frampton, 2 bloody touches! But… kept Andrews impotent, Mcreery was average but made two important tackles in the last 10 minutes.
This is a special group and just another example of team mentality versus individual brilliance.
 
Lions were gallant and they can absolutely hold their heads high, they threw everything at it and it's rough that there had to be a loser, cliched as that might sound.
But in terms of that deadshit grub Dayne Zorko, couldn't be happier we rained on his parade and he absolutely shat the bed individually in his 250th.
Only him, though, thought they had some great efforts from their forwards, Clug, Harris Andrews late etc. and they are a bloody formidable outfit, hats off to them.

I am giddy that Frampton has a flag but Zorko does not
 
Just a word to David King......Kingy, a couple of months back, you told the world that the Pies were definitely going to win the premiership. He said that the AFL could stop the competition then and there, because the Pies were a certainty for the flag...

As time progressed, you lost a little confidence in your own judgement and started to get shakey on your pronouncement. You began to favour other teams in the race to the flag and ended up selecting Brisbane to win on grand final day....

And so the lesson for the aspiring expert is to have confidence in your own opinions. Dont second guess yourself. Stick to your guns and most importantly, stick with the Pies.
