McGrath would look 5 times better playing in that Brisbane team. Y'all are cooked.
He wouldn’t get a game. He can’t kick. He can’t mark. He can’t stick a tackle. These are essentials to be a Brisbane player.

Surely today of all days you realised how crap our senior players are and he’s a senior player.

McKenna at Essendon became one of our most important players, he got a token 10 minutes on the big dance today.

Nailed another one dodo

Most people look good playing in the VFL with 10+ afl standard players

Wouldn't get in their 22 even if they had 10 injuries.
Frustrated Buzz Lightyear GIF

McKenna probably a better player and was sub. Not in the 22 would be fairly close to the mark if not bang on.
McKenna is better than McGrath in the same way Parish is a better player than Cripps. In that he isn't.

You're just saying that because you hate him. McKenna's field of vision extends beyond 35m, he's a superior player.
I have zero issues with Conor. In fact I was his biggest defender in his last year.

He's simply an inferior player to Pidge

please elaborate for the masses
Conor's a good player. He's aggressive, takes the game forward and has some very good highlights. But that's all he is. He doesn't work back defensively and even on the rare occasion when he does, he sucks at it.

McGrath by contrast is the opposite. His mistakes are really obvious and loud and it's what sticks in people's minds. But most people don't look at his defensive work at all, or anybodies. In the fundamentals of football, McGrath is vastly superior to McKenna.

I think you need to get to more live games Eth. McGrath has played some good defensive games yes but this year he was not great . He was caught out of position a lot. Hopefully he can tighten it up a bit but there where several games this year where his defense was McKenna level.

McKenna level was vastly superior to the tripe McGarth served up.

Essendon supporters overrating their own players since forever

More like people underrating how much impact a well structured/elite team around you can have on your consistency/ability to break away.

People are notoriously hard on certain players because it's "been 20 years since a final" and they want a reason to vent at the expense of perspective. It's pathetic.

He's a good player that unfortunately instead of refining himself into an elite player has learnt to coast and repeat bad habits in our mediocre culture.

He would look much better in a side that developed him properly, ironed out his entitlement issues and had the right players to compliment his attributes within a good system.

McGrath is a better defender. McKenna is a better kick.
McGrath is sometimes a great kick. McKenna is never a great defender.
I think that sums them up.

McGrath can lock down though. McKenna just wants to go all the time.
