The only people I know who did it, had it done after the fact.
Seems a bit fake memory to me doing it that way but if that is what people like to do now days who am I to say how it should be done. :cool:

Social media probably has a fair bit to say with the approach. You can't show how it actually happened though, it needs to be the perfect version that you show the world.

Given I do not do social media it explains why it is not my cup of tea.

I think most people these days have plenty of conversations about the future before going to the effort and expense of buying a ring, let alone presenting it to anyone or hiring someone to take photos of the occasion.

The best way to describe a modern proposal is this.

The matter of the proposal shouldn’t be a surprise. Just the time and place
