There is a good lesson there I think ...
“ don’t write off a kid that is 18-19 & has less than 50 games under his belt “
We have quite a few of these kids on our list with a handful of games & (some even yet to play AFL) .
Lets try to put a bit of trust & faith in our current recruitment staff. I reckon you will all agree that we would never of dreamt debuting 3 first year players & possibly a 4th soon in Ford in one year ! This would have never of happened under BScott .
Do you know the actual numbers that debuted under Scott. What was the most in one season.

You might just be correct ,
But the difference with Noble is that he gives the kids time / games to prove themselves...
How quickly we forget BScott’s revolving door ,,, play them for a game after languishing in the reserves 1-2 years... drop them after 1 game & play 30+ year olds instead ,,, Delist them ...
Because um ..” we aren’t rebuilding , .. we are um .. heck knows “

Not including players who had already debuted for other clubs, players who are stil on the list in bold:
in 2010 we had 7: Ryan Bastinac, Ben Cunnington, Nathan O'Keefe, Robbie Tarrant, Jamie Macmillan, Ben Speight, and Marcus White
another 7 in 2011: Shaun Atley, Cam Pedersen, Cam Richardson, Kieran Harper, Luke Delaney, Aaron Mullett, and Aaron Black
3 in 2012: Cam Delaney, Brad McKenzie, and Sam Gibson
3 in 2013: Majak Daw, Will Sierakowski, and Taylor Garner
6 in 2014: Dan Currie, Joel Tippett, Ben Brown, Max Warren, Kayne Turner, and Mason Wood
1 in 2015: Trent Dumont
2 in 2016: Corey Wagner and Ryan Clarke
11 in 2017: Mitch Hibberd, Declan Mountford, Braydon Preuss, Jy Simpkin, Sam Durdin, Ed Vickers-Willis, Dan Nielson, Cameron Zurhaar, Nick Larkey, Josh Williams, and Ben McKay
5 in 2018: Luke Davies-Uniacke, Paul Ahern, Tom Murphy, Alex Morgan, and Will Walker
3 in 2019: Bailey Scott, Tarryn Thomas and Curtis Taylor (I haven't forgotten Kyron Hayden, he debuted under Shaw)

Interesting trends. Scott tried all kinds of guys at first, then the debutants started to get older and more mature for a few years followed by extremely lean years in 2015 and 2016, an absolute explosion in 2017 as Scott did his semi-rebuild, then back down in the following years. All I can say is: geez we had a lot of players who didn't make it, but I'm sure other clubs would have similar lists like this. Seeing which years have multiple players that are still on the list is interesting, none from 2012 or 2016, only 1 each year from 2013-2015, only 4 from 2017 out of 11 debutants.

That is a pretty good list Liam Boy and very good work. I realize there are not to may Scott fans on here but he gets a raw deal AT times on some subjects i believe but i am probably bias cause i did not dislike him as so many on here did.

I think people get confused with Crafty. He was 19 before he turned 20. He is 1 second into his football career. Still growing too from what I've heard. He could end up being the 6ft 4in wingman from hell we've been yearning for. Watch this space.

yes I may have gone a touch early;

We should build our team around Jack. Jokes aside good on those backing him in and we'll see aye.
Lol yep good to see you on the anti Mahony wagon also
Currently averages 11 touches a game at 67% efficiency which is drawing praise

Seems that looking at the stats is pointless with Mahony. Watching him, seventy percent of the good stuff he does can never be measured via the spread of stats we have available to us, as his little toe-pokes, taps, blocks etc start a chain of play that may register a traditional stat 4-5 seconds later by another teammate.

He has nous and is only getting better.

🤣 I’m sure people were saying that about Ats in 2011. They’re still saying it and nobody is happy!

Atley and Mahony are polar opposites. Atley has the perfect football body with no football brain, and you can figure the other half out yourself
