hasn't he been a litmis test of the season, huge disappointment/sadness with regards to both Maj's scenario and the clubs performance/management early in the season. now massive amounts of optimism on both fronts.

Just a hunch, at this stage. But he's on record saying he wants a 'five year' deal and he's an UFA at the end of the season.

I can see someone else paying more than NMFC would like to.

That wasn't what he said though. He said he thinks he has another 5 years in him and would love to finish a one club player. He'd be realistic about what sort of length deals 31-year-olds get. And he's not at the stage Wells was where a 3 year deal was obviously going to mean giving him free money in the 3rd.

Truly wonderful, though quite unbelievable, news that Maj will be back playing this weekend. I for one never expected him to ever play again, given the injuries he sustained.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned here, but it says in the Age today that "North insiders said Shaw was in the hospital almost daily in the early period of his convalescence." Speaks volumes that in my opinion.

That's what I love about him, he's like the early developer in under age footy who just doesn't know his own strength and capacity to ruin opponents' sh*t in a big way.
