Am I missing something here.

We have:
(i) New coaching staff,
(ii) New facilities,
(iii) I understand that we have reviewed our medical staff, and
(iv) The best Admin we have ever had.

No other Club was willing to take him on in the Trade period.

Whats Pickering up to?

Reading between the lines on SEN this morning, I think Pickers may be as frustrated with his big headed client as just about everyone else. Said he tried to talk Jesse into staying. Don't know how true that is, but player management would be a tough business when you're dealing with twats. I'm reminded of Jerry McGuire here.

I am sorry Darwin, but a manager speaks for a player. There is no way a manger would say something so outrageous as to a player not agreeing with it. It would make so sense. This is Jesse's doing and as far as I am concerned he can go and get stuffed. He has never reached his potential at Arden Street and I am sure he will fail to do so anywhere else. After all the time and money the club has put in to his rehabilitation, this isn't the first time he has tried to walk...remember the Hawthorn murmurs from the past couple of seasons? Get r**ted Jesse you weak p**ck!

I do remember those murmurs and they were complete and utter bullshit. I asked the man himself and he hadn't even heard of it.

Funny how a few weeks ago people were criticising Dr Con and questioning our medical staff and their credentials and now that Jesse is leaving there isn't anything wrong with them and they did a great job.

I think it is a tad hypocritical for people to have a go at Jesse for saying the same thing that others were saying about our club Doctors.

I'm reminded of the comment that he did his hammy trying to walk out on the club.

I hope his tissue hamstrings ruin his career. To leave us without compensation, or even a hint of gratitude, well screw him. No wonder his ankles & hammies struggle, lugging around that massive ego-inflated cranium of his.

It seems his heart is made of the same crepe paper as his hammie.

27 games in 5 years....coodabeen.
If another clubs thinks they have the facilities to fix his issues and are prepared to take that risk then good luck to him and them.

He might come back in 2 yrs fully fit courtesy of some other clubs funding and miracle work of thier medicine man.

Not gonna say it doesn't hurt us, because it does. He could become a great player and the way he has left us is a big smack in the face.

But I don't care who you are, if you have no desire to play for this club you are dead to us. So cya later Jesse and goodluck, because you'll need a ton of it kiddo.

Darwin - Well I for one put my hand up and say I said, on this very board, that we should have traded him last season. However that is just me. With all due respect matey, if I were a player and a loyal supporter came up and asked me if I had any intention of leaving the club, I too would say "I have no idea what you are talking about". C'mon Darwin, as if he was ever going to share his personal intention of leaving the club with you :) Let's be realistic about the situation. If he has of, you would have been the first to come on here and share it with the rest of the world! Some AFL players may not be the sharpest tools in the shed, but they are not altogether stupid!

this is very disappointing

does not sound like a great character

Does anyone have a personal experience with JWS where they came away thinking "What a sensational bloke! So mature, future leader, so respectful of supporters and the history of the club," etc etc.

You know, the sort of thing routinely reported by people after meeting Drew, Wellsy, JZ, and so on.

I hope (if he ever gets fit enough to grace another AFL game with his awesomeness) North players go out of their way to give it to him every chance they get. No mercy.

FWIW I've never met him, but, when I didn't meet him, he was a complete knob. I've never met a bigger w***er, in fact, I still haven't.

nah snrubs never seen anyone really speak about his character at all until now

so hes a bit of a douche is he?

With all due respect if you are willing to hold something that had no direct quotes from Jesse, Jesse's management, Hawthorn or North Melbourne as gospel then that is your prerogative but the story was bullshit and not one source backed it up.

Darwin - and the fact that exactly 12 months later, when his contract is up, and he chooses to walk out, doesn't make you think that he may have wanted to leave last season? He has just all of a sudden, only 12 months down the track, out of the blue, decided to leave the club?

Indeed, as recently as the Syd Barker, this former football player was telling supporters things that were patently untrue. I wouldn't be putting faith in anything he has posted on Facebook.

Thank you snrub! Finally someone who talks some sense! Realism! Hooray!

"Every staff member to a man has bent over backwards to give Jesse every opportunity to get himself right. I challenge any club in the country to have worked harder to get him playing, but the responsibility also has to fall on the player.

Not hard to read between those lines.

We need people of great character and who want to be at the club. Think we got rid of two bad eggs this week.

Look, I wouldn't say that necessarily. Just that there are some players at the club who are very impressive young men. On the other hand, Jesse has never impressed me.

Funny how nobody here said anything about these rumours that Jesse has been too involved with his xbox, or that he's a shit bloke in the previous 3+ years he's been injured. People only speaking up about it now he's gone.
