LT needs to stamp his authority on our September campaign this week. Hopefully Nick Smith doesn't get up. He starts on the ground for mine. Get it in long and fast, and have him at the 3 talls feet. If Brown, Waite and Drew don't mark it, LT must be there.

Boomer and Higgins will get significant attention this week, so LT needs to stand up and take advantage of that.

I'm not sure if he stays in.

Brilliant on his day but hasn't been much of that this season.

If Turner is free to play, as one of Scott's favourites (and rightly so), he is likely to come back so finding that spot is going to be tough.

Surely must come from Nahas or Thomas. Garner earned his spot off his second quarter, Gibbo lifted and played well, so.....who else?

Brad confirmed after tonight's game that LT has a plantar fascia injury in his foot and has been playing with pain and injections.

Puts beyond doubt why he was the sub each week - impressive to just get out there with an injury like that, and contributed at crucial times in the first two finals :thumbsu:

TBH he's looked sore since about the middle of the season to me. He always walks with a bit of a limp, but it got more pronounced as the season went on.

Hoping he gets right and can get back to his 2013 form as when he is up and about he is still probably our best forward.

Yeah was almost relieved when I heard the news explains a lot . My already high regard for LT went up another notch.

Brad said "a lesser man" would have said he couldn't play. Wonder if he meant anyone in particular?

Anyway, credit to LT for playing his part, up until last night, even limited by pain. We missed him around the talls.

Elton John sang about Daniel. All's wells that ends wells though I suppose. Get LT fit and we've got ourselves a 50 goal a year mid sized fwd.

Didn't Brad also mention that 2 players were carrying injuries. l wonder who the other 1 was ...

That's right. Maybe LT should write to a certain poster on this board who thinks he has the wright to bag Lindsay for each and every thing that goes wrong on the field.

I still find it a bit selfish that player who has an injury of any description, especially in finals, and cut throat ones at that, thinks that their presence in the team ahead of someone else who is 100% fit is a better option.

I was thinking the same.

Naha's surely could have provided more than an injured Thomas.

Can't really fault the MC though. Tough decision.

this must be the stupidest post I have read all morning, so Lindsay picks the team does he? and are you calling Anthony Stevens Selfish (99 GF)? that post is bordering on moronic. Well done LT putting your hand up and playing through the pain.

...apparently he also managed to rely on pain killing injections for the last part of the season without the selection committee hearing about it.

He hides it pretty well with endeavour and willing to put himself in the line of fire. Can't question his courage. No problem with his selection even though he didn't have that impact we all anticipated this time around. Was very unlucky to cop a BS against him for a regulation spoil. The umpires clearly have LT as a 'crucify that player' mantra since mid-season without a shadow of a doubt. Thanx to the a-holes in the media.

An absolutely extraordinary effort, as anyone who's had Plantar Fasciitis would attest. For months LT would've struggled to put any weight on his foot when getting out of bed, and would've hobbled around for much of each day. To train on it is amazing enough. Brilliant LT and yet more confirmation of the fight you have within. :thumbsu:
