On a dud ankle. He couldn't run!
Hasn't been able to run freely for 3 or 4 weeks now has he? Have been surprised he hasn't been rested but Triplem commentary seem to think that the coaching staff are training him to push through minor niggles. Doesn't seem to be too minor though.

I have serious doubts over his mentality.

The particular instance that concerned me was his comments at the sponsors function, where he told everyone they would "smash Melbourne".

His performance that game reflected an amateur mentality, in other terms, a front runners mentality.

Compare that to Jobe Watson, who apparently was visibly displeased with Crameri's comment and his subsequent performance. Jobe has the mentality that he has to put the same effort in every week, no matter the opposition.

Last night I noted a particular instance where he applied a piss weak chase. It was at the 13 minute mark of the third quarter, where instead of what could been a genuine run down, he barely put the effort in put his arm around the player.

He had a bad night and dropped his head. Until he develops a professional mentality, I don't think he will be a consistent 3-goal a game forward.

Jobe is Jobe. Didn't get to talk to him that much but was interesting to see his reaction when Crameri let it slip that we would smash Melbourne this week (or something along those lines). Everyone had a chuckle, he did not look pleased.

Crameri and Paddy got up and one point with MC Madden and chatted for a while and if I didn't have enough man love for the Beast(Crameri) I do now. He is top fella. Loved the part where when asked about what were going to do to Melbourne of the weekend and he replied with something along the lines of, we'll smash em

We had Monfries out there, we were playing 2 short.

I reckon there are some types who could just look and see if it was an "L" and automatically decide that Gus was the chief reason we lost.

I was standing right in front of Jobe with the BF boys when Crameri said that (I thought his words were "yeah, nah we expect to win, hopefully we smash them" or something like that) and Jobe was actually standing by himself. We were virtually at the back. Pretty sure that guy wasn't near Jobe (at least I don't remember anyone who'd be in a position to see Jobe's face at that point in time) so I reckon he's making that up.

The coaches said that they subbed TBell off to move Paddy out of the forward line and provide more run in there to increase the pressure.

I reckon that was a mistake. They should have subbed Crameri out of the game and played Ryder/TBell closer to goal and Hurley to CHF.

If the reports are right about Crameri's ankle in the first quarter then he's playing with bone bruising in one knee and hurt his ankle early in this game. That would have made him lame enough, so when he bruised his bottock he pretty much was as lame as a man can be without doing a hammy.

Fish

Have to disagree.

It was a tactical masterpiece by the TRB to bring in Myers for T-Bell - I have been advocating for a few weeks now, that the SUB could be introduced at half time as a tactical ploy. We are much better when Ryder spends prolonged periods in the ruck.

I am certain that I heard Paul Hamilton say that Crameri is suffering from bone bruising - Apparently the injury will get better with time - Hope it's sooner rather than later.
