OK, I've removed about three pages of posts.

Please do not use this thread to speculate about Oliver's private life – medical or otherwise.

Regardless of the veracity of your rumour, or what you know/have heard, if it's not public knowledge, just don't post it.

I don't want to turn this place into Demonland, but if you can't see the potential harm that this sort of rumour-spreading can cause (regardless of your intentions), then perhaps it's best if you take a bit of a break.

Thanks.

Just like to point out that Clarry went at 70% disposal efficiency (higher than noted 'skillful' players Trac, Laurie, Rivers, Salem, Gawn, Windsor and Langdon), 417 metres gained, 6 clearances, 5 score involvements and a goal assist. He definitely wasn't one of our best, but that's more than just a run around and get possessions (lol) kind of game.
There was nothing wrong with his game mate. You don't need to justify it. Was he at his best? No. Will he get better? Yes. Wasn't our best but far from our worst. Great to see him out there tbh.

I'm only being playful as well, I don't understand why it's triggering to some to criticize our best players.
It doesn't have to be that good players are good and bad players are bad. The best can stink it up as well and it's fair to judge them to their best standards

Spot on TK.
Just like internet forums, good posters can have bad days and make mistakes, even if they don't like to admit it.

Given the circumstances I thought Clarry was pretty good. Not ideal conditions for anyone with that humidity and it was slippery AF. He’ll only get better.
Mate, Gulden is probably my favourite player and he couldn't get into the game. Wasn't a night for mids to showcase what they've got. Couldn't expect anything more from Clarry after the offseason he's had. I didn't expect him to play senior footy for at least a month

So basically it's impossible for him to have a bad game in some people's eyes?

I can't believe it has to be explained why people have different standards for an 18 year old first gamer and literally our highest paid player who plays a completely different position.
That's not what people are saying. That's like me saying I give Tomlinson 12 Votes because he didn't cost us 8 goals like usual.

What are you even trying to say here?

Surely we judge players based on what they produce on field and not factor in how little we expect from players.
This is the exact opposite of the defence you've been making for Tom Sparrow btw.

I would say you can quite literally measure the different levels of expectation that are put on a given player since players are paid a higher or lower amount based on their expected output.

Age and experience are also major factors. Surely you understand this.

Whenever Melbourne has the ball hopefully. Makes the game more enjoyable
I honestly think I do this mostly these days. Especially forward entries. I can’t help it. It’s like being asked to watch 100 hideous train wrecks in 2 hours. Even when we did get a goal after a long and incomprehensible sequence of crap I didn’t feel good about it - I just went for ****s sake ****ing finally

Yeah it was like a 'oh look you do know how to kick a goal'

Can you email this post to Kate Roffey next time she asks us to cheer louder?

Cheering louder gets good forward entries and lots of goals. Headless has always said this.

You know the worst thing about this cheer louder rubbish is that nobody seems to understand that treating a fan base like subnormal children isnt going to make anyone join or suddenly upgrade their membership.
