Another "Tweener" on our list. Not tall, not quick, questionable skills, average tank
He’s served his role perfectly - he’s big, a great trainer and serviceable to good at AFL level - exactly what we have needed for this year and should be a bit part player over the next few. Had no preseason ad well so he should be fitter / quicker next season too.

Just had a bad game today.

I don't like him as a player and haven't since before we signed him. Maybe harsh but for someone with a lack of standout physical attributes, his brain lets him down far too much

Had a poor game.
Has been serviceable this year.
But is very much a player we should be looking to upgrade if we want to contend.

As others have said he's a temporary fill, prob knows it, will be moved on as team depth improves.

I've liked him since he's been at North, normally cracks in and is reasonably dependable without any standout traits, but yeah he was bloody awful today.

Meanwhile Blake Acres (also from Freo and crossed to Carlton) is everything I wish Tucker was as a midfielder.

We have players who panic in our D-50. They get the risk assessment wrong and hack kick it out or seek a ball up when they had some time and could've handballed.

Not Darcy. He sees no risk in any situation and/or has poor awareness/peripheral vision. Happy to take the game on deep in defence with 2 pressure forwards on his tail. Also takes an agonisingly long time to get boot to ball - like another left footer in the side.

He does understand how to overlap run though and with a full preseason could be OK in '24.

I like Darcy, he just had one of those days where everything he tried went wrong.

Wasn't for lack of effort and he's still a valuable player imo. Just not his day.
He was shit. But so have all his games away from Marvel this year.

I’d keep him in for the fact that his performances at home have been up to scratch. And that we have zero replacements.

Interesting mate. I don't mind him, he presents in top condition and looks like a pretty hard worker with some ok athletic attributes.

He won't turn a bottom side into a top side but I don't think he's the problem either. He just had an unlucky day.
