As i have said a long while back (woops just gave away my former identify), Leon Neon Davis.

Very lively, very quick hands, did a few really good things.

He doesn't get cowered by little mistakes here and there. Is an excitement machine with legspeed to explode out of the back.
It was pretty obvious from your first post RR.

Atu did a typically Fijian thing as a kid - was a gun rugby sevens player.

There is nowhere to hide on a field playing sevens. Its a one on one game compared to Union itself so it makes sense that someone who can play it at international (jr) level has the potential to make it as a defender playing Aussie Rules. You can tell he is a rep level rugby player too cos his body movement and the way he shapes up gives it away - he is great in traffic but really that's a standard trait among good rah rah or league players.

Top game from Atu. He has plenty going for him.

Short legs but damn he can pump them fast! He's one that seems so calm, unflustered and sure with the ball in his hands. Also love his lateral movement.
Our drafting the last couple few years has been phenomenal.
He was part of the Sleevo trade.

You're right and yes I knew that. Should have said list management. Since Joyce's departure our entire philosophy around the kind of players we've brought into the club has changed and Atu is a prime example. Am loving his work.

dont' have to be the quickest over 100, just 20 will do

To be fair, Sleevo was part of the Atu trade.

This kid gets lost in that but he wasn't steak knives, we were into him for a long time and the deal was getting done regardless. Sleevo becoming available was long after we'd done our work on Atu.

If that’s the case why is he on 1 year deal?

Cost us steak knives and he's turning out to be a really good investment.
One of those fringe/no position in the side players that's actually working out.
