How good does it feel to have a punt on a kid and have it pay off big time?

The class was obvious, our treatment of him to nurse him through his injury should be commended.

He had a real inspirational effort in the second half, it was something you'd typically see Cunners do. You can tell he's got that hard working will to win and loves the feeling of nailing it. His first goal was a real landmark in the progress of whats going to be a great career.

He's the perfect contrast to Cunningtons hard nosed scrappy football, with his own brand of head over the ball, completely clean disposal of the footy.

Knows how to win the footy and his delivery and decision making look first class. He is just being caught out by the speed of the game and lacks the tank at this level. Going to be a weapon next year. Ahern on one wing and JK on the other........

This guy can seriously do football.
This is what pissed me off before today.

Hrovat was puss, yet held his spot and we dropped Ahern. I thought he was dropped because he needed a rest, but that was clearly frogshit based on today’s performance.

Unless he runs out of gas, should be played for the rest of the season.

Nah there were a couple of contests where Bomber players ran free going forwards and Ahern was all arms and legs blowing trying to keep up

He extricated a very good second half out of himself. But he isn't anywhere near as fit as he will be this time next year

Going to be a very good player for a long time though. Love what he brings

Which is a lot more than Hrovat. He shouldn’t be dropped while we are gifting games to a bloke that has no impact on a footy game.

Sure if he needs a rest drop him, but not if it means giving games to guys not worth a pinch of shit on current form.

Preaching to the choir bloke

I thought Hrovat had an outstanding first quarter when he sat at Brown's feet

Was dog excrement thereafter. Set up a few goals but only because he can't kick over a jam tin from more than 35 metres out

I suppose as Paul Newman said a wise man's got to know his limitations

Him and Turner in the same side is starting the game behind the 8 ball.

Both should be dropped, but at the very least one needs to go. Will Walker has shown he deserves his turn. He might struggle, but he needs reward for his efforts when others aren’t holding up their end of the bargain.

Hrovat's first quarter, in terms of playing his role, was better than any of our small forwrds have managed for a while imo. He then proceeded to do less than nothing when the game was on the line. Turner tries hard but has no goal sense, no confidence in his skills and no ability to read the play and get front and centres. Zurhaar/Walker have to be close you'd think.

Yes time for Turner to go find some goals in the Vfl
