Ball will always travel faster in the air than someone can run!
It's not just that either. If your team mates reliably hit targets, it's easier to time runs and create overlap.

Cunners was the best by foot today by a country mile. His f50 entries sublime.

If he can add top end running ability to his skills, look out. I don't think he needs to be one of those absolute elite runners - guys whose running is actually their weapon - but if he can go longer and harder than most mids, then with his game sense and kicking, we have a gun midfielder on our hands.

Great work by the club and Pauly himself.

How was his kick from the pocket that set up Dumont's goal? This guy is class. Was fantastic in the 3rd quarter yesterday. I don't think we should drop him again.

I'll back Ahern in if he can run those sort of numbers!

While I was unable to prove those numbers equally I was unable to disprove them.

Therefore as per bigfooty rules, it is now so.

So wow. Never realised Ahern used to run like a Kenyan. Imagine when he gets his tank back up to that level?

I think he may have eaten a Kenyan hence the distortion to the numbers.

Can't corroborate it with anything google throws up.

Would say true roo has crossed wires on this one.
Sorry to be a dampener, but this site is inclusive of last year and still lists Hartung as the record holder with 16.6.

This sight mentions ahern but the 16.7 beep test is attributed to a guy called Ian Kyte(???)

All that being said, Ahern shredded us in the 3rd yesterday and we had no answer until the break. Kid is seriously impressive.
For pick 70odd you gave up you have come home with an absolute bargain. Thats some astute recruiting!

You have serious comprehension issues. (Probably why you #StandByDrugCheat)

Hartung was 16.06
Kyte is a coach at The Cannons, Cavka was the player. (He ran a 5.56 2km time trial at the Weagles!)

Weird response, dunno what the asaga has to do with anything but hey, you do you. Seems a bit over-the-top-trying-to-be-offensive though.

16.6...like i said? The beep test doesnt go to 16.60. Dont know if you've ever done a beep test but they dont say "point zero six", they just say "6".
Hell, you said Daniel got 16.1, why didnt you say that he got 16.01 then?

And yes i misread that one sentence, but the point still remains that ahern didnt get a 16.7 beep test, like someone on here said he did...

Not sure though. Check this out:

The writer definitely states Ahern ran a 16.7 beep.
