Sam Wicks

Sam Wicks is a small forward with tidy skills below his knees and an outstanding awareness around goal. The QBE Sydney Swans Academy product was rookie-listed in November 2018 and was a consistent stand-out for the Sydney Swans’ NEAFL side in 2019. He became Sydney's fifth debutant of season 2020 when he was named to face Collingwood in Round 10, before finishing the season with seven appearances to his name. Wicks heads into 2021 fighting names like Tom Papley, Ben Ronke, Lewis Taylor and Sam Gray for a spot in Sydney’s best 22.

Sam Wicks

That was my criticism about the situation regardless who/what/if/happened.

Perception is everything it can be quashed very easily.
Perception is actually nothing.

What the media/neutral fans think is going on and what is actually going on are two different things, and the latter is the only thing that has an impact on how the club performs, so it's the only thing we should care about.

Hi guys, thank you for being sensible! This has been a very sad situation where false rumours were started and people got hurt. With respect to the latest there was no snubbing. Sam was miles away and by the time he'd got to the drinks person the moment was gone and everyone was resetting for the next play. The players around him at the time, Heeney, McDonald, Armatey, Jordan etc get on well with Sam.

Thanks again, and I value what you guys say which is why I keep in touch with the forum.
Now Ralphy was that you and Mrs Ralphy with Sam in the rooms behind Volkanovski ?

He's so important to our team, and I doubt most people that aren't Swans fans realise. Plays such a selfless role and shows blatant disregard for his own body. Love him, becoming one of my favourite current bloods.

Looked like a quality rugby fly-half with that lean-away handball to Harry for his goal.

Another of our younger guys that is really starting to consistently deliver quality contributions when called upon.

ha, exactly what i thought ... wicks played that like a rugby (league or union) five-eighth or half, drew the defender and fed the ball behind him to the support player (cunningham) on the burst ... you very rarely see that in aussie rules

As the self-proclaimed arbiter of speed, over a 100m, Chad would fall a mere 9 metres behind the mighty Jack Hiscox. Wicks, 11m behind.
Wowee, Jack Hiscox was fast.
