At 1:53 in the clip, Daniel's opponent has body on him in the middle of the ground as the ball is kicked towards them.
By 2:00, Daniel is literally 15m clear of him and kicking a goal.

Seriously though, he's got pretty awesome skills by hand and by foot, the kid's a standout.
Not sure why there are any haters, as we were putting the bids in, I was like "please pick Rioli, please pick Rioli"
I was worried we'd go for Gresham over Rioli and regret it for the next 10 years.

Haha, Cyril's a gun, Daniel is purely potential at this point.
But you gotta admit that he looks pretty damn good, if you compared Cyril's junior highlights to Daniel's, they're pretty similar.
Obviously Cyril has become a star at AFL level, but if Daniel can come in and have even 70% of the impact that Cyril has had at Hawthorn, he'll have been worth Pick 15 about 5 times over.
I'm incredibly optimistic about this pick-up, and I'm sure that you guys would have taken him at your pick if you had the chance to.

That's pretty much what I asked myself.
It seems a pick in hope of bloodlines and family traits as opposed to hard evidence.
Yes your quite right, the staff are full time employed to research this stuff to the enth degree but I do wonder.....

Mate .. Look at Brad Hill .. He's nothing flash, but still gets a game cause he is quick.
Daniel is lean & very fast ... His physical profile suits the modern game ... reckon you got a jet!
