Welcome to our new punching bag it seems,Dan Rioli.

FFS cut the bloke some slack.
Kinda hard to with the last 2 weeks... 1 tackle and going at 30% disposal efficiency..

Not acceptable at afl level.. cut throat industry.. nothing against him personally. he’s been great for years but just not up to it atm so therefore should be dropped like everyone else would be

Rioli used to have a real crack there was no questioning his commitment at the contest and he would work his nuts of defensively.

Somewhere along the journey he’s lost that fire in the belly and needs to rediscover it. Punters calling for him to be dropped are spot on at the moment not best 22
Has not been best 22 for some time now not just this season.

You don’t think the coaches and Match Committee would act if they thought he wasn’t putting in? I’d be surprised if they didn’t.
Last week was a horror game and the conditions certainly made it a tough gig. And despite what Longmire says, they flooded big time to minimize the scoreboard damage and this would not have helped Rioli.
Look, I agree, he looks a bit out of sorts, but despite others thinking he’ll be picked as a coaches pet no matter what he does, I think they’ll select him on his role performance.
He’d want to start getting a few more possessions and stick a few tackles soon though!

He's been getting cut slack for a while though, every player should get some heat and criticism when it's due, or at the very least have some questions asked.

I don't see anyone wanting to delist him, but rightfully so some have raised he probably needs some more time in the reserves to play a few weeks of good footy. He seems to stay in the side too long with poor performances, and get back into the side way too quickly after an okay game in the reserves. This is especially true compared to others who play one down game and are dropped, and who have to toil away in the reserves game after game before they get a crack. It's just not consistent.

Nice to see him getting a bit more clear access to the footy. Didn’t shoot the lights out but better game with 11 touches, 3 tackles and a goal.

Next week is a really important game for the club, hopefully we see some real energy from Daniel R.
Needs to get his own footy and not wait for clear access. Still a spectator.

Needs to learn another position. Put him on a wing or half back flank or something.

who would have thought three years ago that out of Butler, Rioli and Castagna, Castagna wouldhave been the our best mosquito fleet forward

The only time where I half agree with you

This guy is a disgrace , I'm sorry. But the amount of times I see him short stop step in a contest. Getting marked against Greene when all he had to do was put his body on the line.

I never knew him to be a soft squib but he is that now , and why ? Wtf happened to him.

If it's because of his breakup then **** just get over it , there's 1000s of girls out there ffs . He is a disgrace and is only getting a game because he is a favourite. To think we got rid of butler because of this guy
