what does that even mean? He still doesn’t execute it well because he’s too slow by foot & can’t hit the side of a barn door.

It means he sets up in defensive positions for the most part. On turnover he can get burned because he lacks the leg speed to make up ground when caught out of position, which is a problem. And when our midfield pressure falls away it can exacerbate the issue of his lack of leg speed.

He’s also fine by foot, still a great read of the play and strong overhead mark.

The Melbourne game is about the worst game he’s played for the season, he’s been decent for the most part.

No need to exaggerate about where he’s at or what he does.

Agree that when the ball comes in slowly & he has time to set up he’s fine, but we can’t play him on those assumptions because of our inconsistency at defending transition renders him a liability as you point out.

Amplify that 10 fold on a wet night & was illustrated late 1st qtr when he got caught HTB bc he was too slow to move & make a decision which was to take the first option by hand.

For every positive selection change coach makes, he seems to make a few stinkers too. Hind hit a really good run of form once he got a few full games together. Then he gets made sub for a few weeks then out of the team.

Terrible, terrible non selection of Hind.

I think the non selection is a result of a shuffle of the magnets. im tipping he will be back in next week.
Definitely think under the roof at Marvel against the crows would have suited Hind but Scott must know something we dont.

We did seem to have a flurry of runs on the board after Hind came on. Which is a shame. But I think we wanted to go in expecting our players, who have played out full games, to make amends and make sure they can play the game out to a point where a sub wouldn't have to be relied on to get us back into it. It's a statement, but at Hind's expense.

Jekyl & Hyde!

Cox, Kelly impressive. Big quarter by Draper. Smalls need to get to the fall of the ball more.

Marking power should be too strong from here

Time to sub Perk? but for who?

After the mass of execution errors and poor performances last Friday, surely Hind finds a way back in. Starting 22.

Never see him have a brain fart like those guys… oh. Wait. Ok.

Still deserves starting 22 based on form before he got sub vest then dropped..
