didnt see it myself at the ground, will have to look on the replay on telly this week. of course being pumped up for the seasons first game i decide to leave my glasses at home, had to squint all game.

but yeah he was pretty handy in defence, infact our all our backs werent too bad, kicking it out of defence is a whole nother story though

He was good. In fact all the boys in our defence were good considering the pressure they were under.

Yep, Sammy was very good.

A consistent four quarter performance.

If only there were two of him, because I still think he is a wonderful exponent of the set shot and a natural forward, with a good understanding of positioning and leading patterns.

His 23 goals in 2010 with stints in the back-line that year as well, was no fluke. I hope BON doesn't consign him to the defence for the year, even though he has done a good job.

Should NOT get time for that.

He had already left the ground and was committed to spoiling Stanton, but at the last second must have realised he was too far from him to collect the arms, so braced himself for impact on Stanton's body instead.

Squib Stanton hits the ground as if a Qantas Airbus had landed on his back making the impact look 'report worthy'..:(

I didn't think it was even worth the 50m penalty. Assuming we are talking about the same incident..?

I found it odd a 50 was paid... He technically hadn't taken the mark yet, so a free should have been paid instead..

I guess that is what Brad was referring to about the 50's that come into play with reports...

Which umpire reported Sam Wright ?

Ben Cunnington was off the ground for about 20 minutes because his face was cut open. Papers and radio are silent about this ? Does anyone know what happended ? I've sent an SMS to SEN, about this, but I'm not expecting it to be read out - Timmy is on this morning.

Wait. The “Wright may get a week” talk has all been about that bump in a marking contest? I was honestly struggling to see how it was a 50. In the contest, not late no doubt worth a free kick but a report… And here I was thinking I missed the whole incident.

Yeah, not worthy of a report at all. No damage done and only fractionally late.
