Does anyone think there will be any first year VFL players that have come out the TAC CUP drafted?
The likes of Robin Nahas, Sam Robertson,Nick Carnell,Kyle Matthews,Marcus Crook. Any one got any more who could still be picked up?

Shane Valenti from Sandringham.
Alex Silvagni from Casey did not play TAC last year but must be a chance to be drafted this year.

Shaun Huy from Coburg was in the best on the weekend - played at Calder last year but done his knee early in the year

Velanti has been good, but his body type is weird small and stockey dont think he will be picked up will be a good VFL player tho. Sam Wormald is another played vic country last year and he is at werribee at the moment good size kid.

steven clifton. i don't know what this bloke has to do to gain some recognition. polled in the top 4 of last years TAC B/F, made TAC team of the year, won the Rebels B/F by the biggets margin since adam goodes, and is now playing North Ballarat Roosters 1s getting best or second best week in week out, kicking goals and at stages getting tagged.. the fact that steve owen got picked up last year because of his athleticsm and clifton is still going under the radar proves that the system is a joke. owen will never play a senior game of afl because he cannot win hard ball, whilst clifton could be the biggest bargain if a club picked him up because of his sheer ball winning ability.

Could not agree more Clifton is a super player good build really fit i was unware how he is going this year but last year he was unreal hope he gets picked up.

I totally agree. I couldn't believe what I was hearing when I saw Geelong had recruited Steve Owen. Especially for a third round pick!

Perhaps Geelong trade a straight swap with the Roosters, Owen for Clifton:D .

How is the "system" a joke? There is not exactly a rule put in place that prevents clubs from drafting a player like Clifton. No one is pointing a gun at recruiter’s heads saying "you must draft the 'athletes'".

If Clifton is good enough to play at AFL level then hopefully some club will work this out.

Have you ever thought about the possibility that it may just be the individual recruiters stuff-up when a player (athlete or non athlete) does not make it?

You have got to let the game evolve naturally, it is not exactly like there is any rule you can implement to enable any more so-called 'natural footballers' to be drafted.

nobodys is holding a gun to their head, but they are shoving draft camp statistics in front of them. and players like clifton would not rate in draft camp, but neither would players like riccutio. he was drafted back before the camp was introduced and like most champions he was chosen purely on the fact that he was hard, in and under and could find the pill. im not saying you wont find good players that are athletes, but blokes shouldnt be dismissed because they dont look as athletic as others.

what are his dimensions?....heaight weight speen? if he is as good as has been just stated there must be something stopping him from being drafted?
