That's true, but really it was a very poor draft - we are one of many clubs to end up with a high draft flop.

Some clearly see more in him than I do Ozzy, so who knows, he might be given longer to show talent of AFL quality beyond just kicking.
I'm prepared to put him in the Jacobs bracket......imagine if Mckenzie was given the amount of time Bastinac, Atley Zeibell and Cunnington no one knows yet. We have Harvey, Wells and DalSanto leaving us soon you have Gibson approaching 30 and now starting to give us little output. I think now we're starting to see consistency from Bmac its madness to throw him away. I'd be very surprised to see the club let him go.
Hansen is another we persevered with.

McKenzie in goes ahead 29 to 28, based on an opponent where we might be able to carry a guy a little bit and still get the win. I think he needs to play the full game, no vest, and be given time to work into the pace of the game and to show what he's got to offer.

I haven't watched a second of VFL though, so I'm really just basing my opinion on hope than knowledge. So feel free to ignore me and carry on....... :)

nb4 "Gibson" because people will have no clue.

I was gonna put that rider on it, but it wouldn't stop anyone.

Alternatively, you could face reality and concede that Gibson's season hasn't been a shadow of his 2014 season, and Brad McKenzie in form offers waaaaay more to the team than Gibson in his current form.

Or perhaps I'm just clueless.

I want to know if he's been told he's playing for a spot on the list.
You'd think that would be implicit given that he's out of contract at the end of the year and has really struggled to crack into the side.

Can only play as an inside mid. He's far too slow to play anywhere else.

We have that area covered.
I think Dal shows that you don't need to be quick to play on the outside and be very effective. Brad should be literally taking notes on everything Dal Santo does as they are a very similar style of player.

Dal is far more elusive. Can turn on a 10c piece.

McKenzie, not so much.

2. Brad McKenzie continued his recent good run of form with another strong performance.

“What he’s done in recent weeks is just upped his possession count a little bit more. He’s such a good user of the ball and the more often you have it in his hands the better it is for the team,” Dyer said.

“He’s been doing a lot of practice during the week with his bodywork and positioning at stoppages. He’s doing that better and it’s starting to translate into clearances.

“He’s just looking a bit more dynamic in there (midfield) as well.”

Geez I wish the penny had dropped for BMac earlier. In the brief footage I saw of him in the preseason he did appear more physical, rather than just an outside option. Consistent performance is all we can hope for from him at VFL level and hell, he's ticked that box this past month. Good to see.

Time to give him a go in the 1's. And Harps.

Make it happen, Euge.
I think this may have been the plan at the start of the season............but we lost too many games early on. I think both players have shown enough to warrant a game in the seniors but we can't risk upsetting the applecart too much where it may cost us a game.
