So does Atu play that pressure small forward role for us or in the backline?
Few people making their best 22s and have him in a half back role.
Makes me think he played a similar role in the juniors but everything I can find says he's just a forward.
All the talk out of the club is that we got him to add speed to our forward half so I think his first role will be as a pressure forward.

So we are meant to buy that Stephenson was some too far gone prospect at the pies because of off field stuff and yet JDG is just fine despite a string of off field issues including a current one that has him fronting court with an actual prospect of doing time.

The hypocrisy is real.

Jaidyn clearly has stuff to work on.

but there is seemingly mayo on mayo on mayo on a kernel of something that might be a thing.

I'm also dead certain on this, there's a reason Stevo only got linked to us the day before he was traded and that's because the Pies were panicking they wouldn't get Treloar's wage off the books. If Treloar was a dog on day one then Stevo would probably still be at Collingwood.

Its just ED, Ned guy and Bucks trying to keep their job by trying to trick the fans into thinking they did something more than just a salary dump due to mismanagement of contracts. They got a HUGE backlash from the media and fans this off season.

just strikes me as being a bit immature in his previous years

he'll grow out of it

We can thank * for keeping the Dogs busy for a week.

Joke of a club. The born loser Bucks leading the way
looks like his modus operandis hasnt changes,

Take successful GF team,
ship out perceived trouble makers
make a grand final,
lose said grand final,
ship out perceived trouble makers
replace with more hopefulls
wash , rinse repeat.

my thoughts exactly.

My hope is that this entire experience of the highs of his first year where he would have thought he was king of the world at the biggest club in the land, through to unceremoniously being traded out, has shaken a bit of that out now.

He gets a fresh start and hopefully the kick in the arse makes him driven.

You ever meet Pykie The Other Dean?

Randomly I did at Casino in Melb in few times I've travelled.

Was fantastic and humble guy (maybe later who knows)

Nah, man. But every footy team needs a few colourful characters and Pykie had that in spades. Seemed to keep a lid on the 'too far' stuff at North, also, which was a plus. On field, an excellent footballer. Very happy he spent time at Arden Street. Loved his work.

Given the club ethos of work hard, play hard, it seems odd that Pyke was let go after the 2000 season.

Apart from turning up to the Family Day still pissed, I don’t think he did anything that the rest of the team wasn’t also doing.

Do yourself a favour and find out the reasons he was sent packing to North. There were quite a few reasons and Jaidyn knows exactly what they are but you won't hear them from Stephenson and the club don't want to make them public to protect him. And that is apart from his woeful form. Three disposals in his last game pissed me off too.

Yet you’re happy to sign a bloke charged with assault and could be in the clink in 6 months.

Inb4 Bigfooty powerlifting coaching contingent chimes in with why he shouldn't do box squats.
The weight hes squatting he needs the box.
If it was less he should be doing it freely.

Gets a tick from me;)
