Another Cloke gone for the tigers who reportedly is the best one out of the three, but is there any chance on getting Lachlan Mcghie after not picking up older brother Lucas Mcghie two years ago????

who says we wont get the 3rd cloke? wasnt there an article just last week where he still has Richmond as an option?

just because eddie everywhere thinks he is a certain pie next year doesnt mean its true, we will only find out at season end.

I was under the impression that there was a huge chance that all 3 Cloke brothers would NOT be playing together next year. Something about costing each other game time at the one club. Correct me if I've been mis-informed. That would surely mean that we'd be a fair chance of jagging the youngster.

In the article Travis stated that his mum has the most pull regarding where he ends up and did not rule out Richmond and said over the past 2 years Richmond have been in constant contact with him and have show great interest in him.

He said he hasnt decided which club he is going to yet, he also said he would like to play with his brothers but would be just happy to play AFL anywhere.

Richmond should be lobbying to have the fs rule changed back to 50 games so we can get Sam Robertson whose a member of the AIS AFL academy. Also Kym Monteath is the one we had to make sure we got...and from what I understand the kid is over the line as a tigers player:D

If his mum has any say then Mickey's line in the press onference after last years debarcle in GF should work agianst him

"Jason played better in last year's grand final"

who was the ol' man ...if its retrospective then sling us Luke Ball ..whos dad played Ray Ball...and michael Voss who's dad i think plyed a few games....

Voss' dad played some under-19 and reserves footy. Balls' dad played 14 games for us and 40-ish for the Swans, so neither were a chance even under the 50 game rule.

McGhie did not play enough games for Richmond (only 81), so his son is not elligable. Has to be 100. McGhie was elligable to be drafted last year but overlooked.

Kym Monteath is too young this year.

David Cloke said on White Line Fever last night that no decision had been made yet about where Travis will play.

We'll get at least one Cloke boy no wucken forries.

Both David and Julie have Richmond in their heart.

Up until last year they were pretty dis-heartened by club administration and possibly Frawley's coaching but now,
with the prospect of a new coach and some young draft picks
we'd be looking a whole lot more appealing.

Jason is supposed to be the least talented out of the three.
Anyone vouch for this ?

put it this way for Travis sake , that would want to be the case, cause Jason is a battler at best and cameron at first cut looks slow but early days with him...

Of all the guys mentioned,Kym Monteith is the special.
He is already playing in the WAFL and was recently named BOG in a match.
Unfortunately we cant draft him until after the 2005 season as he's too young.:(

It is his older brother Rhys that has played in the WAFL. Kym hurt his shoulder and is out at the moment. In all probability he will miss the under-18 championships as a result.

So Can we still draft kym monteath or not???

I hope we get travis cloke he looks like a good guy and i hve heard tons of good stuff about him.

Just a good, middle-of-the-road key forward at the moment. Not too much fuss about him and if it wasn't for the surname might not be in the list of the 10 best KP prospects.

All the excitment about him being better than his brothers was because the thought was he was taller than them at the same age and would grow into being a ruckman. He hasn't. Jason Cloke doesn't have the size for KP, Cam Cloke is too short to ruck and too slow for KP.

A 3rd round draft pick is about right, but really I don't care either way. Wouldn't of thought he and Schulz could play in the same forward line for example.

The Cloke family i.e. David, Julie and Travis were guests of the Collingwood Football Club on Anzac Day. Coincidentally the same day Cameron made his debut.

Conversation would have gone something along the lines of:

Eddie: "Well Travis, you can go to Richmond if that's what you really want to do, however if you do you'll be passing up the chance to play with both your brothers on this very special day. Playing for Collingwood has certain perks and one of these is the Anzac Day clash. Most players who have taken part in one rate it just behind playing in a Grand Final. Go to Richmond and you will never get to experience what both your brothers are out there experiencing today. What can Richmond really offer you. Collingwood have played in the past 2 Grand Finals and Richmond are an absolute rabble. Do you really want to be spat on. They don't have a good record with youngsters and where do I start with what we can offer you outside of football. Both your brothers have become senior AFL players at Collingwood and so can you. Trust your thought Travis, come to the dark side, your destiny awaits you...................."

;)

Don't like our chances of getting Travis, especially now Eddie knows we've been sniffing around.
