Same happened to Varcoe for a while after his one of his multiple shoulder injuries- took a whole season before he could run down guys like Buddy.
I could watch this every day.

Take a look at our ball use during the entire clip. In close and resembling the Bulldogs today.
The only one who butchered it was Ottens (typical rucks) giving the hospital handball over to Stokes.
We were so fierce and unrelenting with our pressure back then :thumbsu:

True, but we had a much more talented and deeper list

Was about to post the same thing. How quick did we look. It was like globetrotter stuff.

There are some rumors about saying that if the Cats are bungled out of the finals we might just see Chris Scott resign as our senior coach and take up the Carlton job.

I've also seen matthew knights name mentioned. God I hope so. Maybe we could bring in a midfield coach who could actually teach our players how to kick inside 50 instead of just bombing it in, or kicking it straight to our opponents best intercept defender.

Knights has been here way too long and our MF aren't any better for it.

222 out of 368 coaches in AFL history never coached in a final. That’s 60%.

259 out of 368 coaches in AFL history never won a final. That’s 70%

315 out of 368 coaches in AFL history or 85% never won a flag.

Whenever you employ a new coach the odds are stacked enormously against you in finding a successful coach.

Given they want Brian Cook as well, they may see getting Chris Scott as their coach as a great way to bring a new culture to Carlton. But my sources aren't very reliable so take it with a grain of salt. If it does happen, Scotty should take Knights with him LOL. I think Scotty will probably sign a contract extension this year at the Cats.

How many Coaches have had the quality of list Scott has had, almost continuously since 2011?
