Bad night for our forwards all round. He created a contest at the very least.
He did??
Must’ve been in the first half that I didn’t watch..

2nd half I saw some very gentle and timid marking contests from him

Didn't impact the game but kept Moore accountable. Wasn't able to peel off for the easy intercepts like he normally would, which was one positive.

1. Didn't get out marked once and brought the ball to ground every time.

2. Did you see our entry kicks into 50? You could've had 3 Lynch's and you wouldn't have made a difference.

I think this is correct. Also Dusty and Bolton were half pace, with Campbell/Green forward as well still trying to work out how to operate, it is not easy to fully judge the 2 key forwards performances. But they weren't brilliant, that is for sure. I liked the way both contested in the first half but I suspect Collingwood changed the way they defended them a bit in the second half and both looked lost from then on. All part of the learning curve.

Upon further reflection he actually did a good job at keeping Moore quiet …. This defensive mindset may have been by design to sacrifice his offensive output to keep Moore out of the game, essentially he was playing chess when Moore was too busy playing checkers

We knew he was going to be s*t but He'll play round 0 because theres no lynch & thats ****** sad, he hasnt earned his sash based on his performances
Didn’t think he was that bad
Definitely not great but at least he went for his marks and never really got out marked by Moore

Has a lot of work to do if he is every to be a walk up 22 but I’m not going to write him off either

kosi's in an awkward position because if we have balta(or him) as 2nd ruck then he can play, but if we reward naismith's preseason training+match form then we can't play 2 rucks + 3 kpfs and kosi would be the one i'd choose to drop out of the him+balta

obviously sending balta back is an option but that's one more year of ****ing balta around by having him train in one position and instantly throwing him in to another once a drop of milk gets spilled

my preference until it's shown not to work would be nank+naismith with lynch+balta and make sure to have cumberland in there since he can play as a lead up fwd but also as a crumber

but all of this is very fragile since nank is gonna be injured/suspended half the season, naismith bound to get hurt, meehan could amputate lynch's other leg, who knows with balta and cumberland might not even get a game. so things are looking up for kosi, we'll be forced to play him sooner or later

is this like when adelaide tagged rance that time

he couldn't keep up with him so was forced to spoil from behind. He got a football lesson LM

i like this archie may fellow can we draft him
No Essendon have already lodged a claim to take him in the MSD like they do with a lot of our VFL talent.

hahahah forgot about this, the flogs thought it was working at halftime and then he absolutely dismantled them in the 2nd half

Soon we will have f50 full of defensive forwards. Exciting times
