Apparently we had 1 shot in the entire 1st half.
Still 0-0 though at this stage.

seth

We've had plenty of chances and dominated much of the play but you have to expect that at home. The longer we go without scoring the better chance you guys have of scoring a late winner.

Preston are winning but the rest of the results seem to be going our way.

Sounds like we played really well but that's what happens when you don't take your chances.

We're still right up amongst the playoff positions and not too far away from 2nd position but every game from now on is crucial.

I like Southampton, I hope they return to the premiership.

They never harmed anyone.

Well actually they did when they placed in that shoebox-esque intimidating as ******** Dell ground but since moving to the peacefully named St.Mary's they became a more loveable club and an icon of the league.

It does look as if promotion for them will have to be achieved through the nerveracking somewhat evil playoff system thing. Hopefully they knock Birmingham on their ass in the 'final' of sorts. That'd be nice. I may even adopt them.

Despite Sainter publicly confessing strange feelings of Arsene Wenger-ess adulation for Southampton's 17 year old wonderkids, I like Southampton and I hope they come back up.

Loveable? That's a laugh... although their squad does represent the city... Mostly Polish.

both sides of my family are Polish so you aren't selling the anti-Southampton cause very well. ;)

lol. I'm telling it likes it is, anyone who goes to Southampton can judge for themselves what a SCUMhole it is... But really... 20000 Polish migrants live and work down THERE, that's 10% of the population (pop of SCUM not Poland)

:D

I see you edited your original post but not before Mr P@H quoted it.

I resent those comments thank you very much.

I prefer beanpole strikers. :p

Yes, we do have a large Polish community Mr P@H. Your city on the other hand is full of pikeys.

That's Leigh Park Sainter... i should know, my college is right up that way... It used to be the Largest housing estate in Europe.

beanpole strikers?

Koller?

:D

When Jan Koller does this, get back to me.

Interestingly I just looked up Koller on wikipedia and the last sentence reads "Jan Koller is known to be a fan of Sunderland AFC and it is rumoured that this is where he will eventually see out his career".

Look up Britains toughest towns and Portsmouth on youtube.

What a wonderful place to live and raise a family.

You deleted it... from your post... although i must say one of the people in that video is my nans, sisters grandson which probably makes me his second cousin... He's the one in the cap here

Since those riots a few years ago things have quietended down, the 657 crew are all but disbanded, we just don't bother anymore.

There was plenty of language and violence in the clip so I thought better of leaving it on here.

Interesting video nonetheless. I hope the person ends up adding part two. I'm sure our club will get a few mentions. ;)

I sympathise with you and your cousin for not knowing the joys of supporting the biggest team on the south coast.

btw on that screen shot Mr.ph levels fish enthusiast dude put up, would've been funny if there was a 'swedish male butt enthiusasts forum' tab on there.

ok, that's not funny. it's late, Arsenal are as boring as Chelsea who are boring as Liverpool who are all not worthy to be spoken of in the same sentence as Aston Thriller. (so why I just did is a mystery) add to that I'm watching some pathetic excuse for a movie called 'Rest Stop', like seriouisly who the ******** goes to an abandoned toilet in the middle of nowhere that has some weird camper van parked out the front? some people never learn....

slightly off topic, but this is the Coke League thread. Such fans are starved of entertainment.

You see those Arrows? Well there is more bookmarks on there (About 40ish on total) BF is on there somewhere...

I remember seeing that original doco on channel 5 about a year ago, you get mentioned, quite a bit. They discuss the origins of our rivalry linking back to the Southampton Community Union Members AKA SCUM and the shameless breaking of the brave picket line our lads in Her Majesty's navy put up... Sellouts, disgusting the way they behaved that time...

Biggest team on the South Coast? Don't make me laugh... How many league titles have YOU won? 0, you've won as many FA Cups as us as well so you're not exactly Liverpool are you?

I found this quote very intreresting

Graham Hurley, a local author of Pompey-based crime
thrillers, sees the phenomenon in wider terms. 'I think the story really
begins and is shaped by geography,' he says. 'Pompey is an island, it's the
only island city in the country, and that makes it very insular, an inward
looking place.

'It is a tribal place, very martial. And this goes back to the time - which
is not a cliché - when it was born on blood and treasure. It grew up around
the dockyards, it sucks people in. And those families tended to stay. So
you've got this community that grew outward from the dockyards. And that has
led to a very particular culture. I've never, ever lived anywhere like it.
'There's a kind of clannishness within Pompey, built on family after family,
which has led to this feeling of belligerence and stubbornness. It's quite a
secret place, square-shouldered, right-angled and deeply unpretty. It has a
kind of gruff charm when you get to know it. It's very functional. And it's
uncursed by money.'

Very true that...

1-1 at Layer Road, the sort of match that a month or so ago we would have won at a canter. It's all going pearshaped again down the Blues, throwing away what was a 9 point lead at the top & failing to win promotion will go down in the annals of Blues history as yet another missed chance. The Board have shown a total lack of ambition over the transfer window, just as they did last season and that will cost us. They have always tried to do it on the cheap and they don't seem to realise that it never works. The fans have been lied to again & again & we're getting sick of being treated like mugs season after season. If we don't beat Stoke next weekend then it could get ugly (but not as ugly as the inbred travelling support - I don't think that is possible).

So who are the stars of this league atm. We all know of Barnes Bale etc, any others.

What would the CCC team of the season look like

Scouting next seasons opposition early, Embers?
