Re: 2009-2010 College Football Discussion
Born leaders are GROSSLY underrated I think, especially with all the crap about throwing mechanics, footwork etc. Before Vince Young went insane, the guy just knew how to win football games. He was rated behind Leinart et al but no matter what happened, he'd find a way to win. I see a lot of that in Tebow, but he'll slip because of these questions.
I heard Jax are keen as mustard on him, to keep the whole Florida, Jesus Loving thing going and replace Garrard.
Ive watched a lot of Tebow. He's grossly underrated as a pocket QB. He does all the right things very well---looks off safeties, doesnt lock onto receivers at all, goes thru his progressions quickly and decisively, and has excellent accuracy (including all those tough throws -- out-routes and fade routes) where arm strength is required. He puts the ball in the right place for the WR all the time.
Tebow is a Steve Young in the making. He'll no doubt require some time as a rookie learning and will have struggles, but you're talking about the same exact kinda leader and great man/intangibles that Steve Young possessed coming out of college.
Born leader, born to rise, born greatness.
