So Presti is a certainty then.;)

Do you watch football on the net in China? Or is there some Setanta type network that covers the AFL?

Watch on the Australia Network (which is broadcast from Manila). We get 4 games a week on delay. Hope to catch 3 games this week.

For what it's worth, here is my team:

(Forwards top as that's how it should be done!)

F: Chapman Brown (leading Coleman) S.Johnson
HF: L.Davis Riewoldt C.Rioli (to be replaced by Didak)
C: A. Goodes Hayes Swan
HB: Drummond Scarlett Goddard
B: Gilbert Presti Enright
R: Sandilands Dal Santo Ablett
INT: Cox Pendlebury Montagna Mitchell

Perfectly reasonable team to me.

The teams are pretty dependent on how people judge a players season, and obviously in what style they choose their team to be.

porps ahead of lecras just for the reason that he plays for so in the midfield at times, and also that he isnt the go to player in our team

I'm pretty sure that's not the criteria they (or anyone) use..

I'd disagree with that.

I'd actually rate Montagna ahead of Judd myself.

Incorrect, Montagna stays in, Judd replaces Pendlebury.

I quite like Pendlebury but he isn't in the Judd class just yet, he still needs to work a bit on his defensive game and he needs to learn how to hurt the opposition more when the footy is in his hands.

I'll have a crack it

B: Harry O Presti Scarlett
HB:Drummond Bock Goddard
C: Montagna Hayes Swan
HF: S.Johnson Riewoldt Goodes
FF: Davis J.Brown Chappy
R: Sandilands Dal Santo Ablett
INT: Judd Gilbert Porpylzia Cox

Captain: Riewoldt

Really want to fit Enright in, but atm I think Gilbert has him just. I think the Harry O ground swell will continue as although he doesn't provide the same rebound of some other backmen, he is rarely beaten when playing on tall or small forwards.

I think Porpoise will continue to improve as the year goes on and will get the nod just ahead of LeCras.

Judd on the bench is a result of him being beaten 4 times out of the last 6 weeks with players going the other way. He could easily turn that around given the champion that he is.

Voldt has to be captain given his last 12 months and the cultural change in the way the Saints are going about it.

.....so what was it that was incorrect in my post

Harry O's rebound is severely under rated. Has worked tirelessly on that since he came to the club, is now one of our better rebounders imo, and can now kick on both sides.

B: Sam Gilbert, Matthew Scarlett, Simon Prestigiacomo
HB: Josh Drummond, Nathan Bock, Corey Enright
C: Leigh Montagna, Simon Black, Nick Dal Santo
HF: Steve Johnson, Nick Riewoldt, Paul Chapman
F: Leon Davis, Jonathan Brown (C), Mark LeCras

FOLL: Aaron Sandilands, Lenny Hayes, Gary Ablett

I/C: Chris Judd, Brendon Goddard, Adam Goodes, Joel Selwood

Too be honest i dont care all that much about the AA team as it's all very contentious. But just for a bit of fun my AA team would be;

S Prestigiacomo - M Scarlett - J Drummond
B Goddard - C Tarrent - Aaron Davey
L Montagna - C Judd - N Dal Santo
L Davis - N Riewoldt - S Johnson
D Giansiracusa* - J Brown - P Chapman
A Sandilands - L Hayes - G Ablett

D Cox - D Swan - J Selwood - B Sewell

* Gia is going to have to be replaced as he is set to miss a few weeks. Probably change with Props or Le Cras

I want to fit in Boyd, Goodes, Black, M Murphy, Kirk, Gilbert and Bartel but I feel these guys are behind the guys I have chosen in their respective positions.

I want to also pick another KP-Forward but other than Saint Nick and Browndog there hasn't been many standouts, it's the year of the small forward.

Lastly CHB is easily the hardest spot to fill with Bock being a nut case and injured and C Bolton being a little up and down plus injured there isn't too many clear options as there isn't many players only playing CHB these days. By the end of the year Bock might take back the spot that I think is his but so far this season you could make cases for Tarrent, Scarlett, Lake, Fisher and even Drummond and Gilbert for CHB as they have all played the position throughout whole games and part of other games. So I went with Tarrent who i know has been playing FB as well but I think he has been very good.

His rebound has improved, but he wouldn't be picked on this alone as there would others ahead of him such as Fisher, Gilbert, Duffield Rhyce Shaw and Adcock. It's his one-on-one efforts that will get him picked, much like Morris and Campbell Brown in previous years.

Just had a thought that hardly anyone has a Bulldog in their team. What Bulldogs would be under consideration atm - probably Higgins, Gilbee, Morris, Hargrave.

Higgins would be right amongst it atm, but he is up against very tough competition in that small forward/on-ball player.

Higgins and Boyd are their best chances. Aker and Gia are fairly close the squad of 40.
It's the defenders I can't work out. Lake and Morris have been a bit up and down this season. Hargrave has been good and I forgot to add him to my unlucky list. Gilbee not as good as last year but his output is still pretty good.

Can't believe I forgot Boyd. Has been very good this year, but again, some of the midfield performances this year have been outstanding.

Interestingly, the Bombers could make the Top 6 this year, but I think there is a very good chance that will have no one representing us in the AA team. Watson, Lovett and Ryder may be in the squads, but I think they will miss. I imagine there will be some good debate around the AA table about Watson and Lovett. Good even output from the team at this stage.

That's a fair assessment.

In previous years Harry's offensive side may have counted against him. Now that aspect of his game isn't really an issue, but it also isn't a standout feature.

I like your AA team best PT. Well thought out :thumbsu:

B: Matthew Scarlett - Simon Prestigiacomo - Sam Gilbert
HB: Brendon Goddard - Sam Fisher - Josh Drummond
C: Nick Dal Santo - Chris Judd - Dane Swan
HF: Paul Chapman - Nick Riewoldt - Leon Davis
F: Steve Johnson - Brendan Fevola - Mark LeCras
R: Aaron Sandilands - Gary Ablett - Leigh Montagna
INT: Darren Jolly - Lenny Hayes - Chris Tarrant - Jonathan Brown

Off the top of my head, and I know its very, very biased towards specific sides, but its just so damn hard.

Its atrocious I cant fit any Bulldogs players in and they are sitting third on the ladder. I think they've been very balanced this year, and nobody really stands out. :thumbsu:

Ok heres how I see it.
Toss up for BP, I just havent seen enough of Presti to make a decision on that position.
FP the same, have only seen LeCras a few times.
Last spot on the bench a toss up between the 5 mentioned.
