Good news that Higgins is playing this week, is there any news on R.Murphy? It said somewhere he got a corked thigh..
Western Bulldogs
Shaun Higgins is back after three weeks out with a hamstring, while Daniel Giansiracusa will play in the VFL after a seven-week knee injury. Daniel Cross (ankle) will miss another week, while Ryan Griffen (hamstring) and Tom Williams (foot) will be out for at least two. Robert Murphy and Brad Johnson (both corked thighs) are reportedly okay, while Wayde Skipper and Guy O'Keefe again pushed their cases forward with solid games for Williamstown against Collingwood.

says here that Grimes may struggle to make it back before the end of the season

'The half-back has since played 11 matches, although he has missed the past two with a hip flexor injury and could struggle to play again in 2009.'

also noticed that on the Demons website injury list states:

Jack Grimes – Hip Flexor –1-2 weeks Injury list as at 18 August 2009

Thanks mate.

Jed Adcock to play reserves this week?

http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/sport/afl/story/0,27046,25957319-5016169,00.html

THE first step in Brisbane's bold plan to have Matthew Leuenberger and Jed Adcock available for finals could be taken when they turn out tomorrow for the reserves in a do-or-die QAFL match.

The Lions have monitored the pair over the past week and provided they get through a training session today, they will be named to play half a game each in the reserves.

...

Adcock's return would cap a stunning reversal of fortune for the tough midfielder, who was originally listed to be out of action for a year with a torn ACL requiring a reconstruction.

A second opinion was that it was a 12-week injury. But if he is picked today, it would be only six weeks since he limped off the Gabba in the round-15 victory over Geelong.
