Post-Trade Week:
1. St. Kilda- Will be hungrier than ever for revenge.
2. Western Bulldogs- Just can't see anything but improvement from the Bulldogs.
3. Geelong- We'll continue to be very good.
4. Brisbane Lions- See Western Bulldogs. If this Brisbane side can really string and work together, they will deliver nothing but results in 2010.
5. Adelaide- Not being active during trae week will affect the Crows somewhat IMO.
6. Collingwood- Won't be as threatening IMO. Will drop a little.
7. West Coast Eagles- I reckon the Eagles will improve greatly next year. Like Brisbane if they can string hemselves together, they will be quite good in 2010.
8. Hawthorn- Won't be as good as many others are predicting, but will do enough to make the eight.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
9. Carlton- Will drop in 2010. Not solely because of losing Fevola though.
10. North Melbourne- Another improver IMO. I've always believed the Kangaroos are the most underrated side in the AFL. Will gradually rise in the coming years with an improving young list.
11. Essendon- Will slide big time in 2010. They've constantly been shown up in the past where it really matters and this will hurt them next year IMO.
12. Sydney Swans- The Swans are on the slide.
13. Port Adelaide- Port have a terrible list and will be terrible again in 2010.
14. Melbourne- Will improve slightly with their developing young list. Will have to wait several years for a tilt at Finals though IMO.
15. Fremantle- Do I really need to explain?
16. Richmond- Refer to Port Adelaide and Fremantle.

Finals:
Week 1:
St. Kilda v Brisbane Lions
Western Bulldogs v Geelong
Adelaide v Hawthorn
Collingwood v West Coast Eagles

Week 2:
Geelong v West Coast Eagles
Brisbane Lions v Hawthorn

Week 3:
St. Kilda v Geelong
Western Bulldogs v Brisbane Lions

Grand Final: St. Kilda v Western Bulldogs
Premiers: St. Kilda
Brownlow Medal: Joel Selwood
Norm Smith Medal: Nick Riewoldt

IMO the competition is really evening up and the top 6 or 7 could all challenge.

1. St. Kilda
2. Geelong
3. Bullies
4. Hawks
5. Crows
6. Pies
7. Lions
8. Bombers
9. Carlton
10. Eagles
11. Port
12. Swans
13. North
14. Richmond
15. Freo
16. Melb

Saints and Geelong should be break away as they were this year but not by as much. only a game or 2 seperating 3rd - 7th and could all potentially challenge. Crows will be good but are being overrated on this site and by the media in the last 2 months of the season, nonetheless they are a good team and exciting to watch. Blues could push for top 6 spot but the hole fev will leave will be felt for a year or 2, but in the long run will benefit Carlton. Lions forward line is looking to be the best in the comp but will it be as good as it should? Something tells me it's not going to work out as well as it could but will still pose a massive threat. Collingwood will only get better but still can't see them winning a premiership yet. Hawks can't be as bad as this year and should at least play finals but i won't be too surprised if they dont finish as well as we're all expecting. Eagles & Port could challenge for a top 8 spot, Eagles more likely than Port but if Port can work things out they could finish top 6 possibly. Don't see the Tigers, Swannies or Roos pushing for a top 8 spot but i could be wrong. Freo and Melb could improve a few places but i dont see it happening. Possible surpises could include Freo making the 8 (they were impressive in round 21), Carlton making the top 4 despite being fev-less, Port pushing for finals if they can sort out they're off field problems, Hawks missing out again (fairly unlikely though), Teams figuring out the Saint's game plan and them dropping out of the top 4 (dont see it happening). All this being said who knows and this is just one man's opinion. Anything could happen and I'm looking forward to season 2010!
