Watching Tiger completely self destruct out there was enjoyable viewing this morning.

Only hit something like 2 fairways and practically gave up like the self absorbed tosser he really is.

Good day for young guns in world golf... McIlroy shoots 62 in windy conditions at Quail Hollow to come from 4 back and win the tournament by plenty.

On the same day Ryo Ishikawa shoots a 58 to win a tournament in Japan.

Allenby one behind Westwood for tomorrow, should be a good final round with Mickelson in the mix as well.

And all the media I watch is still about Tiger and how he is only 10 back.

Clark won it on the green. Brilliant putting. Allenby had his chances on the 16th and 17th with two putts just missing. I wanted Westwood to win because he is due a big win, so hopefully he wins one of the remaining majors this year.

Tiger withdrew with a neck injury mid round. Apparently he has had problems for about a month. Could he be making up more excuses?

We may not see Tiger again for a while.

He defintely wont play next week, and was probably never going to anyway.

After that you have the Byron Nelson, Memorial and then the US Open (all with plain tourneys in between).

Tiger will be back for the Memorial I'd say, which gives him 4 weeks to get over what ever mental problems he is having (he had a sook today and pulled out at first sign of any pain IMO).

Bulging disc... pffft.

He was playing shit and basically had enough so he gave up, for the second week running. Only difference is this week he didn't finish his final round. You learn a lot about people in times of adversity... and he is proving to be piss weak.

He may have had a stiff neck, but I guarantee you if he was anywhere near contention he would have played the round out. He didn't want to be out there and used a convenient escaped goat.

This is much more a case of character fail than serious neck injury... the only muscle that was strained this morning was his heart muscle.

Was great to see Clark win this morning, although I felt for Westwood who is making a habit of final round fade outs when leading big tournaments.

Allenby must be kicking himself... his ball striking was brilliant but his old nemesis bit him in the bum. Both putts on 16 and 17 were heart of the hole but short. Never up never in Robert!

Adam Scott wins. :thumbsu:

Good stuff, nice to see him holing a few putts for a change although under pressure on the last he missed one he should have made, but that was the only putt under 6 foot he missed all week.

A good tournament for the Aussies with Badds.com finishing 3rd and a host of others finishing in the top 20. I guess the course being designed by Norman would have suited our guys a little.

There's a 16 year old amateur (Jordan Speith) in the top 10, WOW.

Good to see a few aussies doing well too, Day out in front, but the Elk and Hensby are playing well too.

I'd love for Day to win, he is a huge chance, not like he has any real "big names" to place the pressure on him.

Might get up early to see if he can make it 2 Aussie wins in a row.:)

Nothing like yanking it into the water on 18 only to see your playing partner who is 1 behind follow suit.
I thought Day was gone when he hit that shot into the water on 18, and was shattered for him, only for the other bloke to do the same, was hard to watch both players almost throw it away.

Anyway, he won, which is the main thing.:D

A couple of shots of what Pebble Beach looks like from the beach that I took last week, just a month out from a US Open

About as close as you can get without going onto the course...

Don't think I've seen a choke like that... Garrigus was so tight on the last he looked like a donkey swinging a sledge hammer.

Westwood gifted his first PGA title in 12 years, he was once again leading in the final round before fading to what should have been yet another second.
