Re: Round 19 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

ended up on 2301

High scored in each of my 3 leagues

Was 4th in every league and won each match pretty comfortably, a week off for each means that I dont even need to think about my team for a week which is rather nice!

J Brown Riewaldt Boomer, Goddard (cap) Hayes Swan & a return to form for Waite & Scotland was brilliant :D

Pods ur a douche (should've traded out you for Riewaldt instead of ROK)

Stryjke you're a legend for covering Waters with 100+

Fyfe covering for Murphy was nice too

very very happy chappy right now

Re: Round 19 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

2065 - I swear I score more on the even weeks, I do.

On the upside, won the game I had to win in my leagues. Lost the other two unfortunately so I have 3 semis next week.
Feeling very similar to you got 2025 which is my worst score since round 3! Absolutely livid I lost 2 league games but I had the double chances in all 3 hopefully Sandilands, Hurn & Higgins will be back next week as I was a man down this week.

Would have been nice if Pavlich, Tippett, Ladson, Gilbee & Hodge decided to turn up this week.

Re: Round 19 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

2097! Damn this game shits me! The same team that got consecutive scores of 2600, 2500 & 2600 in the middle of the year has since been below 2200 for 4 straight weeks!!!

**** leaving Strijk on the bench getting 120 with Malceszki, Gilbee & Hodge all STINKING it up!!

Also, **** Podsiadly! I knew he'd play, so I decided to keep him on instead of Dennis-Lane..... Cost me a victory!

Re: Round 19 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

My 2nd team scored 2473! Highest score for me ever.

Is that in any way near the top for the weekly score?

EDIT: Just worked it out, weekly ranking of 15th. That team still has 4 trades & $250k in the bank too. Shame my 1st team sucks so badly.

Well you would have been ineligible anyway, so just as well you missed out

As per T&C

Participants can only enter SuperCoach once. Under no circumstances can participants enter two or more teams in SuperCoach.

Oh BTW Carn the Dees:)

Re: Round 19 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

2165 won my EF by 101 points. Could've been higher bot for Pods, Bartel, Hodge and Malceski, but i'll take it. Hopefully not too much of a ranking drop.

Re: Round 19 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

My 2443 was good enough for 46th highest for the week, and moved me up roughly 800 spots overall. Now ranked 734, hoping to push on to top 500 now.

Re: Round 19 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

like hodges i had a good week my score of 2370 saw me rise 477 spots from 1097 to 620

Re: Round 19 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

2245 this week, and rankings went up by 75 to 224 overall

pretty happy with this ranking so far...unfortunately only one trade left for the year, although i have one position covered in each area except the rucks where i have two..

good luck to all

Re: Round 19 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

2250 exactly, puts me up to 1141 from 1516... happy with my performance as i have basically dropeed ranking positions every week this year which is good

2010 - Rd 22 (GF), 21 & 20 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Wow, it feels weird saying that doesn't it "Round 20".......Three more rounds of the Home and Away season, some with the second week of finals off, while others haven't got that luxury. Hopefully you can find something here that'll get you over the line for you semi-final this week. Cheers, Spud :thumbsu:

CAPTAIN's CORNER

Round 19 Review

Again, reasonably content with my selections last week, Swan continued his massive purple-patch, while Goodes and Monty continued their form against their respective opposition. Thought Ablett would fire. Also had Goddard in 9th position (147).

1. Dane Swan - 131
2. Adam Goodes - 114
3. Gary Ablett - 98
4. Leigh Montagna - 117
5. Daniel Cross - 105

Round 20 Prediciton

Now on to this week...Here's who I think you should put the BIG 'C' next to this week.

304467-brendon-goddard.jpg

1. Brendon Goddard
Average vs Kangaroos since start of 2008: 113
Average over the last three rounds (2010): 126
Average over the last five rounds (2010): 121
Average at Etihad (2010): 133

Right up there in contention with Swan for the 2010 SuperCoach MVP, and I reckon we could see this bloke hit the double-ton this week. Averaging 133 at Etihad this year, scored 139 against the Roos earlier thia year and is averaging 126 and 121 over his last three and five games respectively.

mb_swan_narrowweb__300x402,0.jpg

2. Dane Swan
Average vs Essendon since start of 2008: 105
Average over the last three rounds (2010): 158
Average over the last five rounds (2010): 149
Average at MCG (2010): 131

I'm running out of pictures for this bloke :D His form speaks for itself, the only thing stopping you from putting the 'c' next to his name is Goddard, and the fact that his (Swan's) last two scores against Essendon were 78 (this year) and 107.

Swallow_Rd1309_246a.jpg

3. Andrew Swallow
Average vs St Kilda since start of 2008: 128
Average over the last three rounds (2010): 120
Average over the last five rounds (2010): 120
Average at Etihad (2010): 115

The bloke who's flown under the radar for 2010. Averaging 106 for the year, and hasn't gone too bad against the Saints in recent times, scoring 107, 177 & 100 in his last three games against the boys from Moorabbin. Averaging 120 over the last five weeks, but there's no denying it would take a decent pair of minerals to make him captain against a rampaging Saints outfit.

4. Lenny Hayes
Average vs Kangaroos since start of 2008: 114
Average over the last three rounds (2010): 130
Average over the last five rounds (2010): 112
Average at Etihad (2010): 110

Can't believe this bloke is paying $21 for the Brownlow!! The Saint's spiritual leader is IN-FORM with 147, 118 & 125 over the last three weeks. Playing the woeful Kangas this week, where we should see a few St Kilda players notch up the 100.

didakeggames246a.jpg

5. Alan Didak
Average vs Essendon since start of 2008: 104
Average over the last three rounds (2010): 138
Average over the last five rounds (2010): 124
Average at MCG (2010): 109

With all the SuperCoach hype surrounding Swan, let's not forget the purple match his silky team-mate is currently going through, pumping out scores of 137, 136 & 141 over the past three weeks. Also doesn't mind playing the Dons, with scores of 125 and 136 from his last two outings.

2008_GaryAblett_med_v2.jpg

6. Gary Ablett
Average vs Bulldogs since start of 2008: 136
Average over the last three rounds (2010): 126
Average over the last five rounds (2010): 106
Average at Etihad (2010): 97

Thought he was going to fire-up a bit more than his 98 last week, but at least he's not pumping out the same 70's garbage he was a month ago. Averaging 126 over the last three weeks, and registered scores of 122 & 149 the last two occasions he played the Dogs.

Smokie #1
Kane Cornes
Average vs opponent since start of 2008: 117
Average over the last three rounds (2010): 97
Average over the last five rounds (2010): 107
Average at Venue (2010): 106

Smokie #2
Nick Riewoldt
Average vs opponent since start of 2008: 130
Average over the last three rounds (2010): 116
Average over the last five rounds (2010): 95
Average at Venue (2010): 95

OP SHOP

Defenders
Similar to last week, all the usual suspects are all here (feel like I'm repeating myself ):

Corey Enright - $359,200 (B/E 31)
Scored 116 last week against quality opposition, is this the turn around we've been waiting a month for?

Greg Broughton - $463,400 (B/E 76)
This is the last week I'll be pumping his tyres up, if the message hasn't got through yet, it never will. Always good for 85 points minimum each week. Will be a part of my 2011 starting line-up

Paul Duffield - $445,100 (B/E 74)
Averages 94, priced under $450,000. Another one whose featured a lot in this segment.

Midfielders

Gary Ablett - $554,400 (B/E 106)
Gary Ablett under $600k! It still doesn't feel right.

Nick Dal Santo - $513,100 (B/E 116)
Scored 141 against the Roos earlier in the year, and has only been more affordable at one stage during 2010. I've had him in my side since day one, and couldn't be happier.

Chris Judd - $517,000 (B/E 122)
The cheapest he's been all year, but has pumped 110, 110 & 140 over the last five weeks. If you haven't made that final midfield upgrade, the Blues skipper could be the bloke you're after.

Rucks

Need to trade Sandilands to ensure some extra points? Here are your best options:

Darren Jolly - $452,300 (B/E 116)
Averaging 94 over the last three weeks, finishes the year against Adelaide and Hawthorn, where I'd like his chances.

Mark Jamar - $411,700 (B/E 90)
Capable of 130+ and finishes the year with games against Port & the Kangaroos.

Shane Mumford - $448,700 (B/E 73)
Scores of 123, 124 & 117 in the past six weeks, this guy has been a monster for Sydney this year. Finishes his year against the hapless Lions in Round 22.

Hamish McIntosh - $434,400 (B/E 51)
Has had a great last month, in fact, the best of the Sandi-replacement candidates, with a great run of 115, 100, 93 & 100 since Round 16.

Forwards

When it comes to forwards, there's a handful of blokes who are 'capable' scorers, but have disappointed us this year:

Matthew Pavlich - $411,400 (B/E 118)
Ryan O'Keefe - $368,800 (B/E 48)
Steve Johnson - $441,100 (B/E 52)
Daniel Giansiracusa - $449,100 (B/E 65)

Then there's Chappy, who I still think will get rested between now and finals, but IS priced at $500k and can score big.

Paul Chapman - $504,500 (B/E 125)

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK

MID - Koby Stevens (WCE) - $94,200 - Ave. 56
MID/FWD - Robbie Hicks (RICH) - $113,400 - Ave. 57 [MPP]
FWD - Liam Jones (WBD) - $100,200 - Ave. 47

VIDEO OF THE WEEK

This guy has put out some funny clips. Here's his take on the SC finals (even though it's DreamTeam, which we all hate)
