This pretty much explains why I love watching bikes tearing around a circuit - especially if Casey Stoner is on board!

SPOILER!

Hector Faubal and Johnn Zarco dead heated on the track in the 125cc so they went to who had the fastest lap time out of the two and thus gave it to Faubal

Oh My God!

What do we need a spoiler for ?
If you're dumber enough to come on this thread not wanting to know a result then stiff.

Zarco got screwed.Surely if they dead heat then they should award them both winners and split the points.

Rules is rules I guess. Sucks for him, second time this year he's missed out on a race win despite crossing the line first. Has been a great start to the night, Moto2 was brilliant as well. Marc Marquez has well and truly sussed this class out now, Bradl is going to have to keep up his consistency because Marc is dominating. Krummenacher had a great race too.

Casey qualifying first and Rossi 16th - hopefully the race results too! :thumbsu:

Wowee! Best MotoGP race I can remember for a LOOOONG time. .1 of a second covering 2nd and 3rd (Lorenzo, Stoner), .4 covering 4th to 6th (Dovi, Speez, Simo), .5 covering 11th to 14th places (Barbera, Abraham, DePuniet, Crutchlow). Really exciting and intriguing to see how it would pan out as the race progressed. And The Ben doing Simoncelli over on the last corner for the second race in a row was hilarious!

Hmmm, so LCR Honda have a wildcard rider in Ben Bostrom at Laguna this weekend. I like the slower Ben but Bostrom debuting at 37 years old is a complete waste of time. Good luck to him though, it's not his fault he got the opportunity.

Also, Yamaha continue to be the 'fun' team in MotoGP with all their riders and some past greats playing dress-ups for the weekend. Here they are all together:

Just of note (and to fuel the rider size debate), check out how short Kenny Snr is compared to the rest of the group. See, short statured riders winning at GP isn't a new thing...

Props to Jorge Lorenzo. There was lots of talk him being a one-hit-wonder, the title was automatically Casey's, Jorge couldn't lead development of the Yamaha, etc, etc, but he's really riding brilliantly and proving he's a worthy reigning world champ. This could still turn out to be a classic year. :thumbsu:

Wow, what a race, absolute perfection by Stoner, he conserved his tires early, and then attacked with about 15 laps to go, first taking Pedrosa and then the best over taking move of the year around Lorenzo down the home straight, that was amazing.

He now has a 20 point lead, and with Stoner likely to boycott the Japanese race, and Lorenzo likely to race there, he will need every point he can get.

Gratz Casey.:thumbsu:

Best win in Stoners career. His move on Pedrosa was sensational but his move on Lorenzo was breathtaking to say the least. What a great Championship battle we have. Its a pity Pedrosa missed so many races.
Also what an absolute disgrace that Ben Bostram put his American superbike aspirations ahead of going the "distance".Why bother taking the seat in the first place Ben?

Lorenzo has said he's also not going to Japan

That was just strange. As you say,why did he bother entering the Moto GP race ?

Why oh why does the US time zone have to be so irritating. After watching le Tour I had considered watching the grand am race then the motogp but I thought I should get at least some sleep.
Glad I got up to watch it, for a track that doesn't really give great overtaking opportunities, that was a great race. Stoner Lorenzo and Pedro really dominated the field and Stoners pace at the end of the race was incredible. I reckon with Pedrobot taking points of Casey in some races this year and Lorenzo probably finishing ahead some races. It's going to be a great championship fight.

I didnt get to watch it, too early :(

I love the Laguna Seca track and would like to see the race, does anyone know where i could grab a copy?

Stoner's move on Lorenzo, I keep watching over and over again on youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELwpShNQ2I4
and it has to be one of the best passes ever, to have the balls to go on the outside and make it stick, really proves his one of the best!
Yep, one of if not the best ride of his career and i think he needed to pull something like that out to send a message to his main rivals, especially Lorenzo who was probably starting to get his confidence up. I wonder if Casey watched Cadel Evans feat in the Tour de France and the sheer guts and determination he showed and felt a little bit inspired? It was a great 24 hrs for Aussies on 2 wheels.

Yes that was one hell of a passing manoeuvre, simply breathtaking and then took off into the sunset. Brilliant stuff.

So glad to see MotoGP/Bikes back (somthing to distract me from a train wreck of a AFL season) Had a great 125cc race a second ago with 3 excited riders and teams going balistic! Hopes the other two races are as good! :D

Pedrosa and Lorenzo seem to be a tad faster than Casey....but it seems CS has a bit more on his mind atmo....being an expected Dad now(Congrats Casey and Adriana) :D:thumbsu:

Don't think Zarco was going balistic. I really hope he wins the championship (and a race lol). 125 races are always spectacular, always so close with fighting to the last lap or corner even. I quite liked at Silverstone when we had the moto2 motogp and then 125cc in that order, it was good having the best race last lol.

Edit, thank christ Smith crashed out early of the moto2 race. For the so called 'World feed' the cheerleading for the pom riders is almost unbearable. Especially the 125cc class because they're ****ing useless.

FUZZBALL!!!! Finally a podium. Great win for Casey, nice to have Lorenzo 4th.
That race was pretty rubbish compared to the other two, great result though.

Edit: Those podium girls have fantastic uniforms.
