Re: Round 7 Trades

And........

What I was saying is that their is no point in trading in drummond that hasn't played a game yet, not knowing how he going to score.

And about the comment in regards to duigan I meant he is an out in my sc team not the carlton side lol:thumbsu:

Haha sorry i misread before :thumbsu:

Re: Round 7 Trades

Wanted to wait a week to see how the new rookies went but like usual, a good excuse has come up to do the trade this week with Libba being out and having 3 pies on the bench. Trade or zero, so may as well jump a week early.

Libba --> rookie (Iles, Smith, Wallis, Jacobs, others...)
Duigan --> Enright

The choice of rookie might be incidental so long as they have JS. Over the coming weeks, we'll be trading in the others anyway.

Smith and Wallis might have the least JS due to strong squads and players coming back over the coming weeks. Iles seems the safest bet right now but he just doesnt excite me at all - think he'll pump out his 60-70s with nothing special.

Jacobs is the one that I want to come good for Def/mid MPP but will wait. Glandular fever can come back to bite you!

Re: Round 7 Trades

I feel Heppel is good enough for D7 for a while yet.
I reckon Stanley, Harris, Smith, Darling as back up locks.

Curnow will easily turn into Montagna or GAJ soon enough.

True. was hoping for Libba next week to hibberd for the Curnow/Priddis cash, but no go :(

Re: Round 7 Trades

Why would you drop Goddard? Still averaging over 100 and he's already dropped cash. Biggest waste

Will still be one of the top 5 avgs in the backs this year

Fair point. I guess he's been consistently hitting 110...

Now back to the original question - should I go O'Shea > Shaw this week?

Re: Round 7 Trades

Savage > iles then duigan > newman

or

Knights > harper/I.smith then duigan > adcock

keeping in mind I can't afford deledio in my backline, though I do want him after their first bye, wouldn't be a good idea to have two tiges in the back half. Adcock been in good form but I would have to give up knights a couple weeks early to get him.

OR

Duigan > puopolo and Savage > iles

I could then sit on the cash til next week and upgrades brodie smith > deledio

WHAT DO I DO!!!!!!!

Re: Round 7 Trades

Libba out means I have to put Swallow on the field.

So if I trade Swallow for Iles it'll mean Iles will be playing.

Decisions decisions... :(

Re: Round 7 Trades

Hey guys,

What is with all the fuss about Sam Isles? He is only averaging 60 yet alot of you seem to be moving heaven and earth to get him in this week.

I didn't think there was a shortage of mids coming through in the next few weeks. Is there any reason (that I am not seeing) why Isles is so sort after?

A mature body in the GC's line-up, so he's likely to play the rest of the season if fit. You can't say that about most other rookies debuting at this time of the year.

Does anyone know why Polec is out??

Just plain dropped I think. A bit surprised to see him make way but there was probably about half a dozen that could have made way for Drummond, and he was one of them. Part of it may have been wanting bigger bodies for the GC clash.

Re: Round 7 Trades

I think I'll go:

Duigan > Hibberd
Liberatore > Priddis (or Watson? Mundy?)

Which would leave me with ~$230,000, so Swallow > Swan next week or the week after.

That would leave me with:

Goddard; Gibbs; Deledio; Grimes; Heppell; Lower; Smith (Stanley; Toy; Batchellor)
Swan; Pendlebury; Judd; Priddis; Selwood; Curnow (Harris; Hibberd; Irons)
Sandilands; Cox (Petrie; Smith)
Franklin; Pavlich; N Riewoldt; Goodes; Harvey; Krakouer; Darling (Tapscott; Matera; Richardson)

and 19 trades left.

Re: Round 7 Trades

Knights > Chapman

My only trade this week. Going to hang on to Swallow.

Plan on culling some cows over the next few weeks and grab Harper, Hibberd, Smith and Puopolo. :thumbsu:

Re: Round 7 Trades

Going Bewick -> Wallis, then next week I need Pittard and Curnow to rise by $35 500 to grab Hibberd and Swan.

Just asking, is it likely Pittard and Curnow will rise by price by $35 500 combined?? If not I may have to trade out Swallow and Curnow.

Re: Round 7 Trades

Trade 1 is done, Trade 2 is undecided and I have SO MANY OPTIONS.

Trade 1

Duigan > Puopolo

Trade 2

Libba > Downgrade to Smith or Hibberd
Irons > Sideways to Smith or Hibberd (would give me emergency cover this week)
Knights or Krak > Upgrade to anyone in the forward line (probably Fyfe)
Libba > Upgrade to anyone below 490k
Swallow > Upgrade to anyone

Anyone got any thoughts? With the sheer weight of rookies in, I'm absolutely stumped.

Re: Round 7 Trades

I don't really want to pull the pin on Tapscott just yet but very tempted to upgrade to Chappy. Leaves me with very little cash and I'll miss out on potentially $30,000+ but thinking Chappy in asap can only be a good thing for the team. Considering Swan, Pendles and few mid bench options out for many players he could be a major boost this week. Any thoughts?

Re: Round 7 Trades

I need to downgrade Duigan.

Is Duigan to Thompson still worth it?

Seems to be one of the most frequently proposed trades this week. FWIW, I'll be doing the trade. I'm looking to trade out Duigan due to the bye next week and the Carlton bye in the finals, and I reckon Thompson still has quite a bit of money to make if he can maintain his form and keep his place
