heard that one kid from got knocked out with a punch to the head and another boy as well. Saints are a disgrace, he left straight away and walked up the road and didnt come back. Have heard that they have been kicked out of the comp in the third grade. Doesnt help when there senior coach plays and starts fights when he runs out , great example for the kids he is setting. great effort that he was actually able to run :0
Saints =Joke well done mr man you are the Mann luckily in your own right

Who is gonna win the tdfl league medal. Just curious

jason bartel should go pretty close he is a super player. also might go with peter cook he kicks flashy goals and has kicked alot of them so the umps might remember that when the do the 3-2-1 but there is someone from every team u could say apart from the saints only because they get flogged every week

Well done Sainters on your first win of the year, hopefully you can get another against Chiltern or Yack. How has Tallangatta got so crap in such a short time? Premiers in 2008 and beaten by the league's perennial easybeats in 2011:thumbsdown: Surely their fall can't be pinned on one bloke (the coach), maybe their committee and players have a bit to answer for. It was always a risk for them to buy in so many players to win a flag and it seems when one goes they all go in quick time, Beechworth is starting to look the same. Hopefully its a lesson all clubs can learn from.

JG you may want to get your facts right before you start comparing Beechworth to the high spending Tallangatta of a few years ago. With the exception of 2-3 players last year, everyone either lives in Beechworth or are ex-residents that have moved to Melbourne and come back on the weekends to play football for the club. I think you will find their spending on players would be close to the lowest in the comp. The reason for the downturn this year is that they have lost their 2 leading goal-kickers (one through retirement and one went to the O&M), the league B&F winner (also gone to the O&M to better himself as a player) and a previous B&F winner (chasing money at Cudgewa) and replaced them with up and coming thirds players. So don't worry about them, they'll be back up the top soon enough!

After reading today's paper it will be interesting to see what the fall out comes from these incidents that have happened with the Saints this year. The Saints did the right thing by sacking those boys but you have to wonder what future the Saints will have in the junior competition. Obviously the good behaviour bond that was placed on them was a bandaid measure, maybe a $2000 bond and a 3 year probationary period would be more suitable. Will oppsotion clubs refuse to play them next year? If my kids playing were playing in the 3rds comp i'd have cause for concern particulary if they'd just stepped out of the 4ths. I think i'd prefer they play Albury/Wodonga juniors in a far more controlled and safer environment. Sadly for the Sainters it makes their job of moving forward that much harder through the actions of a couple of feral kids.:(

Well Johnny i am disappointed to see you judge the whole 3rds comp on one team. I have seen a few games this year and was very impressed with the standerd of players and coaches. You dont like to see this type of thing happen in any sport and lets hope the league and the Saints get on top of this

Just played Mitta and they were up to their old tricks, one nelson red carded the other prob has a broken hand. Now that's funny!!!! Better than their stand up!!!
But seriously Mitta are as bad as they have been for years in 1's and 2's. Little kids, old ladies, people in wheelchairs, screaming out to kill and hurt people!!!
But not suprising when fights breakout to see their runner porky pleming in the middle but suprising was dan hales sniping and cheap shoting!! Well I guess thats the mitta way. Pity too they actually have some ok blokes off the field.

Finals matches for week 1 appear locked in. Mitta & Wahgunyah will lock horns in this weekend final round in a prequal to the Qualifying Final the following week. The lions will be keen to regain some form after dropping their last 2, but in reality both teams are unlikely to put all their cards on the table until saturday week. Kiewa (v Beechworth) & Barny (v Saints) can catch Wahgunyah on points (if the lions cant get over an in-form Mitta) but superior % should ensure the lions stay 3rd regardless (despite the likelihood that Barny will increase their % this weekend). What are everyone else's thoughts regarding the potential finals match ups, form of the respective teams and the upcoming final Home & Away round?

So with the end of the season drawing nearer, has anyone heard anything about potential coaches for Chiltern, Rutherglen or the Saints? These clubs would have to have some sort of shortlist by now.

Add Tallangatta to the list, heard they have been talking to Rat Smith from the Raiders, Mitta may also be looking if they dont win it heard a few locals not happy with conway spending big bucks on guys who dont train
Tuenon being one of locals not happy

Underated defender Grant Steed front runner for the Rutherglen job

Seriously Superstar, I know alot of rubbish goes on here but please treat this forum and its participants with some respect.

It wasnt you who fed Bourkey with the lies about in-fighting at the club (that never existed) for his article last week was it?......

Looks like there will be some lean times ahead for Rutherglen then!

I save all my good goosip for BigFooty, you know that.

Ian Kay won by 2 from Brenton Surrey but was ineligible, so Brenton Surrey.

Ian Kay aside, my personal opinion is the Albury umpires league needs to be looked at very closely, in regards to: umpire bias, umpire fitness and umpire performance, they get paid quite well to do what they do, so should be held to some sort of standard
