Assuming you mean Carl Peterson?? He was great. His 4th put the Panthers in front late but they couldn't hold on. Such an even comp. The gap between best and worst is so little.

Yep thats him. He just keeps popping up and does his bit for his beloved club.
Any other news from the weekend? Heard exzavier won by default again!?! Surely the boys from Campberwell have booked a group session with Dr Phil tonight after yet another loss when from all reports they should have won??

What of the varsity? Are they a chance?

Incredible result down at the Wick yesterday.

Didnt see it personally but from all reports OM's really dug deep with backs to the wall! Saw in the paper that Big Simon Taylor played a big part..... can someone expand on this??

interesting stuff. Who have they got next week?

Very strange season this one.

OLD XAVS have now won three games by under a kick is that right???

Didn't realize you were taking the Mickey re CP. I think players who did not go to the school they now represent in the ammos old boys should be encouraged. Clubs have far more to offer than just being the old alumni school tie. CP didn't quite make the grade at Hawthorn, but has every right to play in the ammos and Carey every right to have him.

Had hoped to be sitting in the shadows of the SHOLLYWOOD lettering, but am told the planning application is at VCAT, held up by the second part of the Elsternwick upgrade plans, the stone carving of VAFA legends faces in the hill by the scoreboard - Mt Rushmore style. Sholly, Phil Stevens. Bear Connell. Happy to take suggestions on who else you think deserves the honour.

RahRah - Never mind the Shollywood sign, he's been working on his street cred with a new remix..

Duck Sauce - Michael Sholly

Sorry old man, the sharcasm from Rah Rah has rubbed orf!
Good on him, I hear he may well be re drafted next year!!! That ones for free Occy.

After his five selections getting home over the weekend Rah Rah may need a vehicle escort with mandatory flashing yellow lights and warning sign ' Danger heavy load following' as he walks the pavement watching the lycra clad yummy mummies collecting the golden children this week from Brahton Pramry:p:p:p

Also must nominmate Benny's Rug to be carved into the outer wing Mt. Rushmore style at the Wick:eek::eek::eek:

Crackin Premier season..perhaps Gerald Fitzmichael will come out this week in Premier League and call it the 'numerical round' and quote some Albert Einstein formula in describing the odds of it happening:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Outa.

Benny wears a wig? No way.

Yes yes congrats on your 5 this week........only noticed after l had finished.
l believe that to be true with OS v OX, thats 3 OX games decided by last minute kick and ALL gone in OX favor. Does that mean they are not as good as previous or that they don't really kick into action until the second half of the season??? Guess l am gonna see for myself next weekend.....and l will be picking the Panthers.

Xavs are just cruising at the moment, winning the games they have to, but doing nothing more than they should.

Innacuracy was the main issue, and Xavs should have won by 5+ goals. As the Xavier coach rightly pointed out at 3 quarter time, the Inside 50's nearly doubled Scotches.

As to the Mt Rushmore matter, some other worthy candidates:

Norm Nugent, Peter Lemon, Adam 'Beefy' Kenyon, Tom Johnston, Noel Rundle (would look interesting in granite).
Magnificent work Mal.
I must say I am looking forward to seeing Phil Stevens 'tache in stone!

Existing Ladder and my views on where they will end up

Collegians - Top 4 just, The kids TV star needs to lift against better teams
Bogans - They are not that good, will miss the 4
OX - Finish on top
OC - 4th impressed with how they have travelled this year, only early but like the cut of their jib
DLS - Once players come back they will string a good run together and finish 3rd, win the first final and get knocked out
OS - mid table again, shame they won't get relegated as "B" section would help them rebuild from within
UB - One year to many for the cockroach, just miss the finals as it's bloody tough to win under the spires
OT - how they win games with Ramsden still playing I don't know - the blokes a star but please find someone to share the load. Just miss relegation
OM - been unlucky, lose this week and they join OH
OH - Voss can stay in "A Grade" the club and the ground they play on can get stuffed

Trinity beat xavier without ramsden. how do you explain that? conversely they got flogged by collegians with him playing. you've latched on to a simplistic theory that has been trudged out on this forum for too long. if you are going to make predictions, atleast base them on your own first-hand reasoning.

the best team i've seen this year was uni blues, last week. admittedly they've always played well on their home ground, but they looked hard at the ball, well drilled and consistent across the park. maybe not top 2 but they'll be up their at the end of the year. i didn't rate st beads; they rely on some absolute gun midfielders but their defence and forwardline is average.

OT vs OM is a massive game this week for so many reasons!

ramsden is an old man... best is well and truly behind him. trinity are a happy side who got xavs on the hop, and good luck to em.

xavs slowly regaining the best and fittest squad.

waiting for resumption @ headquarters...

I reckon Pete 'Agate' Harris immortalized in stone on the Nepean wing would be most appropriate. :)

Tips:

Collegians over SBMT - dead set flipped a coin on this one
Scotchies to defeat Blues - home game selection
OT over OMs - hard to tip against them at Marles
Panthers narrowly over Xavs - the heart rules
Dairy Bells to defeat OH at headquarters - can't crash there two weeks in a row, surely??

'Ave a good 'un!! :D
