McDonald is interesting in that Scully and Power are missing and due back round 2. I'd say they would want Ward to play centre square and I struggle to see Scully, Palmer or McDonald playing anywhere but inside mid. McDonald might sit out when Scully and Power are back? That's an issue with Shiel too but I suspect they'll want to develop guys like Coniglio and Shiel infront of playing ALL the experienced players.

i completely forgot about power! and scully to a lesser extent. it's made me rethink a bit about leaving him out altogether and hoping some of the 50/50 choices come up and get named next week.

probable vest candidate. and with o'keefe, armstrong and r.shaw to slot in the team sometime in the near future his job security might not be the best.

Looks like he'll be sub though. Named on the bench with Hannebery, Rohan and Jetta. I think it's a good chance he'll get the vest anyway.

Tough call but I would go with Conigilio as he is already named and hasn't had an injury

Spurr hasn't been upgraded yet. Its out of Spurr or Clancey Pearce. Should find out next week but Freo supporters are saying that Pearce is the most likely to be upgraded. Its just a wait and see.

But i think the answer you're looking for is NO, not unless he gets elevated of the rookie list next week.

Chances are 50/50, hope that helps.

Yeah that's my concern with Sheil, he's coming back from an injury and has only played one game, then some people say McDonald will get subbed too. Arrrrg...decisions.

I'll be starting McDonald, Shiel, Kennedy, DSmith, Giles tonight. Should be fun. I do wonder what Bugg will do, ball should be in the backline a fair bit you'd think.

It will only come out for a centre bounce

Anyone starting Redden over Giles this week?

Trengove back is a worry but had he not been subbed last week Redden would’ve outscored Giles. Scott has apparently said North’s rucks will look to improve on last week so Goldy/Hmac could be in for big ones.

Magner, CSmith (Shiel*, JMac) in the mids? I keep hearing people talking about Magner being a no show? Any more info on that?

Yeah go Hall, I think Smedts will be forced to play defensive so his scoring potential will be reduced, and Dickson is KP so wont see as much of it as Hall.
