How is Hannath going?

Considering bringing him in this week in a MPP switch.

What is his job security like?
Wouldn't say strong, but with Clarke (closest competitor for ruck-forward role) still having dearth of match fitness (and Sandi perhaps returning in 6-7 weeks time at best?), I personally think Hannath can hold his spot for 1-2 more games, maybe manage 5-7 games over the course of the season at best. Has shown some promising signs and has been good back-up for Griffin but won't be a huge scorer IMO, at best a 50-55 average once he finds his feet.

Could be wrong though :rainbow:

Hi Freo board. How do you see Garrick Ibbotson shaping up. Has had a ripped few weeks. What role is he playing and job security. Held by only 4%
Cheers
Interesting POD, I thought he would be on the outer, also in and out of the side with the odd green vest.

Can see him scoring consistently now and will probably rack up more in SC due to his knack of intercept marks and good disposal by foot.

hey all,
just looking at offering a trade for Pavlich in my Elite league. It's a pretty small league, so there is probably more free agent talent left than most other leagues. Ive got S.Motlop, who is going at 83, but tossing up offering him for pavlich in a pre-emptive move for later in the season.. How's the champ looking? Noticed he is still 2 weeks on the injury list, but it could be a gold investment.

If your happy to hold onto Pav until the BYE then by all means go for it.

We come off the bye with easy games against Brisbane and North at Home.

How long is your Elite season? I noticed our 12 team league finishes at Round 11...

Does Griffin's season ending injury improve his JS? How far away is Sandilands and when he gets back, who would be preferred for the second ruck spot between Hannath and Clarke?

His JS just skyrocketed. Sandi is at least 6 weeks away, but realistically I can't see him staying in the team with Sandi since Clarke is much more mobile and can provide a better forward option/more defensive pressure.

I also wouldn't cash in Blicavs for him unless you really did have a free trade you could throw away this week... if you do, then your DT must be going pretty well!

Yeah still holding onto Blicavs but had some spare cash and wanted to get rid of Currie as he doesn't look like he will get much of a look in. Got to be a bit careful with my trades though - have had to make more than I would have liked so far :(

Hey guys, just wondering how far away Sandi is?

I just picked up Tippet in my Ultimate Footy league as we only have 2 more games before we have 3 byes, so could afford to sit him on the bench for two weeks of "games" and ensure no one else could grab him :)

I want to do the same with Sandi, but wondering what round you would be expecting him to return? How has his recovery been tracking?

Sandi is a bit of a mystery. A thread has been set up to glean info about the injury and his return, but details vague. IMO he is at least 5-6 weeks away (also according to last week's club injury report), a cautious guess would be around 7-8. Definitely not sure about his current state, but highly doubt he'll be back before out Round 11 bye.

Would stay away from the Freo rucks, unless Clarke starts banging consistent 80s.

Hi Freo. What's people's thoughts on D Pearce? Where's his role at present?
I can see him turning it around (SC) wise. IMO he is capable of 90ave but isn't priced that way atm

When is S.Hill back, has this affected Pearce's scoring?

Cheers guys

My thoughts? A decent if inconsistent player, with erratic but long kicking and blistering pace.

Now, to his role. To be honest, I haven't watched him too closely this year. However, from what I've seen he seems to be playing a bit more of an inside role, maybe less the outside receiver role we supporters expected from him. Someone else probably may be a more comprehensive witness than me.

To the stats:
1) For the 5 games Hill played, Pearce averaged 13 kicks and 6 handballs (around 2-1 ratio), and 81.8 SC points, plus DE% of 56.2%.

2) For the past 3 games (Hill out), Pearce has averaged about 10 kicks, 8 handballs (1.25 to 1 ratio), and 65.67 SC points, plus DE% of 52.367%.

At a glance of a small pool of data, Hill out has perhaps contributed Pearce's K-H ratio and SC scoring decline. However, Pearce is relatively inconsistent fantasier from what I've seen; he is cheap for his potential though.
(Disclaimer: Stats not double-checked, from Footywire.com and AFL.com)
I'm not an SC man (DT4Life :thumbsu: ), but I'm guessing with better DE% and kick-handball ratio Pearce can blossom into a 85-average player.

Hill scheduled to be back in 2 weeks, against the Crows.

My dad's having some backline issues in SuperCoach, but he's got some money left aside to fix it up a little this week. He's thinking Ibbotson or Duffield. I've looked at the averages this year etc. And they seem to be quite similar. I myself have advised that he lean toward Duffield, but he's thinking Ibbotson. So I'm just wondering who you guy's think (as Freo supporters) will be the better pick in the long run?

Thanks guys. :)

I have got Duffield as I thought at the start of the year he would be in the 22 all year and predicted Ibbotson to be on the fringe and in and out of the side.

Think that Ibbo is playing out of his skin at the moment and that Duffield is around his expected average.
Can't go wrong with either, but i would go Duffield just for Job Security.

Hello hello hello lads.

Just further on Duffield, since coming back from being a late withdrawl a few weeks ago he's scoring very very well (SuperCoach). I haven't watched much of Freo over the last 3 weeks so just wondering what you guys think is leading to his scoring increase. Are there any noticeable changes to his game in the last few weeks that you've noticed? Is Ibbotson's return freeing Duff up a bit? Is he playing further up the ground (named on the wing this week)? Or did he just have a slow start to the season and what we've seen the past few weeks is Duff playing at his true level?

Reason I ask is that I'm thinking of bringing him into my team this week. I originally picked him at the start of the season and he was a bit underwhelming, and played a bit more defensive than I'd like, so I traded him. Just don't want to bring him in again only to see him return to that sub-par scoring.

gday all. Has De Boer been playing mid or fwd the past 2 weeks? I noticed his scores/stats have lifted so i thought he might be playing more in the middle like last season?? hes a free agent in my draft league after being dropped due to lower scores earlier on in the season, while playing forward.
thanks

I'm thinking about trading in Zac Clarke, who has managed 97 (v Pyke and Mumford), 88 (v Melb) and 112 (v Jacobs). He looks like a good POD but will he be able to keep up these scores, particularly once Sandilands is back?

Is if for DT or SC? I would probably avoid unless it was a fantasy draft where options are limited.

Will probably drop back to a 70 point scoring player when he is back, just not worth it as a Ruckman. Gorringe from GC will probably score more overall if you are looking for a R3 R4 option now that Zac Smith is out for the year.
