Does anyone reckon Magner will actually get a chance to play in the AFL now?

Seems like he could've been handy for us last year, yet we still didn't decide to play him, even when he got elevated.

I really hope Roosy sees how good he is...

He is needed as he would have been delisted along with the first lot

Magner is borderline AFL at best but overcoming the shortage of big bodied midfielders is critical to the list in 2014

It may all depend on what players we get from trading and the draft if Magner is required in 2014

Always humours me when other clubs come to the boards and say "what would you offer, here is a player you should take" like it matters what they post...
Of course it doesn't matter what we post, but it's why we're here, to talk about footy

I'm sure there is the odd lazy recruiter out there that plays angry birds all year and then panics and looks at bf for suggestions while the others at lunch.

Think Prenderghastly... Only he was reading some other clubs board.
Seriously with the advent of the interwebs, recruiting would actually be somewhat possible using just BF. just look at 2 or 3 key mocks and the official phantom and you are away.

Mentioned on Twitter that Magner would get more opportunities as he would be highly rated by Roos. Nek minit I get a PM asking if I knew something that he didn't. Read into that what you will.

From Magner you mean?

Magner sent you a message? Ask him the same question back

Would the MFC be interested in Brad Sewell? 29yrs old. Three time grand finalist. Dual premiership player. B&F in premiership season. Would offer a hell of a lot of experience to a young list. Hawks testing the waters for his value. Any appeal?

We might be interested, would he be though? Story in The Age this morning suggested he wouldn't want to go to a non-contender if he left the Hawks.

5 year deal with the Swans maybe?

Steak knives pick (think 4th rounder or later). Only has a couple of (down) years left, and old midfielders are available for free via FA.

Yeah this. At this point just taking Sewell out of Hawthorn's salary cap would be enough of a trade. Also his currency wouldn't be high when there are other free agents his age such as daniel cross available. Early fourth rounder would seem about right.

And dont take our suggestions as us being disrrespectful or not valuing sewell, he is a bloody good player and exactly what we need but you guys i doubt will let him go for nothing an we need to invest good picks in players who will be around for a while first before anything

Who's the dolt (Melbourne fan) that rang up trade week radio offering up Gawn and our 2nd round pick for Montagna? Like we have such deep ruck stocks that we can trade our youngest most promising ruckmen for a 29 year old.
I wouldn't trade a bloody can of Coke for Montagna, let alone Gawn AND pick #20.

I'd trade a can of coke, a packet of wizz fizz and bus fare to Casey for him. Wouldn't give up anything outrageous for him, but he's a damn good player. If he leaves St Kilda it'll be to a top 8 club to chase some glory, not to duke it out for the wooden spoon.

Montagna would be handy for teams shooting for a premiership next season. A late second rounder or perhaps even the late first rounder if Hawks, Freo or Swans wanted to throw the kitchen sink at 2014.

Melbourne would be priced out based on what Montagna is worth to those teams.

An off-season gaining Sylvia and Montagna / Buddy and Montagna would be incredible for Freo or Sydney.
