Thanks, i've heard that both have had very good preseasons and both along with nick riewoldt are my more unique picks.
I'd heard that Bartel had an interrupted preseason, not sure if it is true though.

View attachment 12052 comments about rookies are false comments in this point in time. will of course be all round 1 starters when this season starts. but what ya think other than that. all players are heavily researched. pretty happy but also welcome to criticise.
Probably a bit weak in the rucks. Would downgrade a midfielder to upgrade Warnock, or move Roughead into the ruck and add another forward. Otherwise it's a pretty good team.

i don't like any top priced forwards going back to 400,000 my plan is to wait till Rd 6 ish. my two Rucks will have well gone up in price by then (injury pending). trade. then send both cox and roughie into ruck. By this time I should no who to pick into the forward line

Any advice would be really appreciated, 119k left with the intention to upgrade to Stevie J in the fwd line depending on Cloke's performance.

Some concerns:
  • No Swan or Ablett, do you think the midfield's strong enough?
  • High-priced rookies, do you think they'll pay off?
I'm just trying to embarrass my mates, not win the car, thanks for your help! DT2013.png

Excellent team. Realise that Reiwoldt has some easy early games but as a KPP I am not sure he will score that big. Goals tend to be shared around. Worth a go though. Mitchell as in Kane? Could be good, if he gets a game.

Another go at it...

B: Goddard Gibbs Hanley Broughton Pittard Goodes Terlich Colquhoun
M: Swan Ablett Cotchin J Kennedy Sloane Wines Crouch OMeara K Mitchell Viney
R: Cox Leuenberg Witts Currie
F: Franklin Zorko Robinson Christensen Macaffer Neade Lee McBean

Yeah Kane Mitchell. Will wait and see for round 1 but best rookies seem to be in the mids, but nab cup and selections will be everything.

N. Reiwoldt for easy first part of draw. But I've tried to pick lots of keepers. Still think trades will be like gold for injuries and perfectly timed upgrades/downgrades, so avoiding preplanned sideways trades could be good. I don't know.

If you want me to give you some (fairly uninformed) feedback on your team feel free to post.

Probably one of the best teams I've seen posted here. The only criticism (and it's only a very minor one) is having both Wright & Martin is a bit risky given their reasonably high prices. Maybe look to upgrade one of them if you can find the $

otherwise 9/10

PS you might want to crop your screenshots before posting, I can see your full name.

This is my current version. Growden won't be in there. Need to wait to see if any decent Forward rookies.

MID: D. Swan, T. Cotchin, J. Redden, P. Dangerfield, H. Bennell, A. Embley, O. Wines, B. Crouch (J. O'Meara, J. Viney)
RUC: T. Goldstein, M. Leuenberger (L. McBean, D. Currie)
FWD: D. Cox, T. Rockliff, L. Jetta, J. Kennedy, T. Varcoe, S. Byrnes (B. Macaffer, J. Growden)

If you hit Cmd + Shift + 4, you can actually choose what section of the screen you want to screenshot. Saves you the effort of cropping. :)

Some interesting selections. Will Tambling play?
Bennell has been in and out of my team, massive ceiling.
Jetta will be pretty unique.

Strong team, midfield much stronger than mine.

Hop on the Kane Train!

played mixed AFL 9's at Claremont's home ground last yr and being perth, and a completely ungraded competition, ended up playing against Kane and his Claremont teammates. As well as being a gun just an all round top bloke. They where light hearted, good sports and giving me and my completely unskilled first time footy player team mates tips and encouragement.

comparatively on a different week we played matt de boer and his mates (not team mates) and they where the biggest sausage pirates. Taking themselves and a social game way too seriously, tried to pile drive a tiny 16 yr old boy cos he was the only gun on our team, calling my brother a "bad sport" for not giving him the ball straight away, when truth was he didn't understand it was his free kick cos umps have no clue.

Anyway irrelevant, but his work ethic and attitude are as impressive as his abilities. Hopefully he gets some games early on.

I'm pretty happy with this set up/structure until after the NAB at least.

3/1/4, 6/0/4, 1/1/2, 3/2/3

- I think Tambling is the best value for money out of the Def mid-pricers if he can cement a spot in Adelaide's back 6.
- I've classed Greene as a premo and not a mid pricer because I expect him to average premo this year.
- Same goes for Goldy. Anyone of his age who has averaged 99 only 2 years ago is not a mid-pricer even though he was sub par last year. (Guess you could say the same for Leuy, but he's coming back from serious injury so is a genuine mid-pricer this year)
- I've gone for NRoo as my starting F3 because I think he can average 100+ over the first month. Will be looking to sideways him to Buddy or SJ after the first month.
- Staker is just a place holder until after the NAB. He may hold his spot if he looks like returning by Rd 2 and if Neade plays Rd1. Otherwise he becomes Joe Daniher.

Repost sorry. Just screwed up my last screenshot. Thanks for Dannnnnnnnnnnnnn (sorry if i got the amount of n's wrong) for teaching me how to screenshot properly
Also thanks Gingy for the previous rate and giving me a heads up on my mistake ;)
Also Gingy I agree with you with my picks of Wright and Martin. I wanna try find some money somewhere where I could upgrade Wright to one of either Cox or Buddy. I am missing a heavyweight in my forward that will rack up those 130+ scores here and there.

No probs, Frisky. :thumbsu:

You're set up is almost identical to mine, other than I have a mid-pricer in my Def to your 4 premo's. Lot's of options in the 200-350k bracket of Def mid-pricers to choose from. Anyway that's one way of getting the $$$ to get Buddy or Cox into your forwards. Either that or downgrade Fyfe to a 250-350k midpricer in your mids.

You can't see byrnes and varcoe averaging above 40 odd??

Staker is injured won't play first few rounds

Vacoe is a far safer option than a speculative "hope he improves" christiansen pick

Chill out on the advice a little[/quote] mate i been in top 1k last 2 years an i love to help other dt's out! with some handy advice stress less

Good idea. Not yet confident on Fyfe, will assess my options. Also see how other people go during Nab Cup and ill see what I can do by the time round 1 rolls around
