I'm a bit unsure as to which tactic to use still, so hard to settle ie. 5 premium, 3 rookie mids or 4,4?

Anyways, please see my team and let me know what you think. Struggling majorly in the FWD line like most!

DEFENDERS: Goddard, Shaw, Gibbs, Watts, Vlaustin, B.Goodes, Docherty (EMG), Pittard/Colquhoun (UNSURE? - Any other good cheap options?)

MIDS: Ablett (C), Swan (VC), Watson, M.Murphy, N.Fyfe, O'Maera, Viney, Wines, B.Hill, Crouch (EMG), Colquhoun (EMG. FOR MPP?)

RUCKS: Kreuzer, Z.Smith, Currie (EMG), Grundy/Rowe (EMG)

FORWARDS: Franklin, Rockliff, Martin, LeCras, Kennedy/Varcoe/Byrnes/Harper (UNSURE PICK 2?), Daniher (EMG), Mayes (EMG)

In your forwards Kieren Harper for North would be my tip with that cash. Showed plenty of good signs last year, average was lower as he was played as the sub quite often. It is a risk however I believe he's ready to step up into the midfield for 4 quarters. A player on the up rather than Embley who is on the slide, and who knows whether or not Knights is going to slot in.

Otherwise I like what you've done overall. Seems quite a balanced team and have taken advantage of the abundance of midfield rookies that look the goods.

Hoping I can get some advice on mine, I like it at this stage, but a new set of eyes could change that!

Harper is definitely one to consider, i will do some searches and see

As for your team, i would say its quite good, though i reckon the most glaring thing is the lack of Ablett or Swan. You have a good team depth, but I would think you would need one of those two at least.

Why no Plowman?

Yeah, not sure about Membrey either. But who is a good alternative?

Plowman is expensive, pick up Docherty/Pittard someone cheaper and use that money to upgrade Membrey to Daniher. Not many FWD rookies. Otherwise rather decent, Toumpas will get time, and Varcoe is definitely a good risk early on.

Big thing is Lachie Whitfield - was told that they will be easing him into it so will miss matches/red vest. Downgrade to a rookie (Crouch or Kerrige, he would also be a good DPP with Martin and Rockliff), otherwise I like that you've gone the midpriced system, dont see too many anymore.
A few risks with Martin/Dalhaus/Robinson up forward, but all 3 can post big scores, just wondering about consistency. And as an Essendon supporter I love see Hep down back, but personally think that his rap may be a bit overrated just yet as he rotates through the middle. If you had money to spare (say from downgrading Whitfield) I'd go a Birchall/Enright/Duffy. But hey, fingers crossed Hep proves me wrong
If the risks pay off, should do well.

Really like your team, got a great midfield with a good mix. Back line is pretty sold too. Not sure about Mayes and Menzal (and Lee for that matter) getting a gig for Round 1 or their JS! May need to look at a mid pricer like Varcoe or Burns who are more likely to play and should still make some ca$h.

It's hard when the rookies haven't been selected for round 1. If a few rookies or sub 140k players are named on the field, you could downgrade those mid priced forwards and maybe go 4 premium forwards instead of 1

Pretty confident in the shape of the team two weeks out from kick off.
Ive decided to try a different set-up in only having the single premium ruck being Maric. (previously Jacobs & Leuy and a couple of other differences such as Suckling and Cloke)
To me the side seems balnanced and apart from waiting on the rookies to be finalised i think ill stick with this.
