Please switch Ryder with Cox. Has absolutely no impact on your score and gives you DPP coverage between Rowe and Cox in case you need someone to cover for in the forwards.
Thoughts?
Option to Downgrade Fyfe to Moloney and Upgrade rucks but not sure, would appreciate some feedback
Gorringe out for Mark BlicavsDown grade Gorringe to Daw or someone cheaper. ...... See if you can fiddle the rucks that way.
Last year alot of coaches did same and he averaged 125+ from his first four games.View attachment 13696
Did a little editing this arvo and what do you think of my team atm?!? Trying to win all my leagues. Is it worth starting Buddy in my forward line given his $618, 000 price tag and the Hawks' start to the season.
Also not sure about Byrnes.
Already rated a few teams earlier but still yet to get analysis of mine.
My main risks are the light on backline and the R2 spot.
I think the backline is the area on the ground where premiums fluctuate the most so there will be good upgrade targets later on.
The R2 spot is a big risk, but in case Currie at R2 backfires, I have Ryder who can be swapped into the rucks at the hands of Rowe without my forward line being affected too much as it is very deep. I just don't think I can gamble on Macaffer on the field because I haven't seen enough from him in the preseason.
I am confident with this structure. I have 19k left over. Thoughts?
Lots of DPP players in this team, including my Rucks and I'm hoping that 2 of my 4 ruckman can make some cash for me to upgrade, but i have back up in Cox and Ryder FWD
Any feedback would be appreciated, at this very early stage.

Birchall is a concern of mine, Hawks def have gone down with bucket loads of injuries which make me think birch's running role is jeopardised.Rate away ladies

That's what I was thinking, you could swap Ryder and Cox around in his post and he would still be arguing the same thingWhat? It makes no difference where wither one is. They are both DPP. What are you on about?

Selwood had his peak year last year (SC wise)...
Swallow has been around for a while now so what makes you think he can lift his avg to elite premium?
Dal Santo is a goo POD, A couple slower years than usual but I reckon this could be a year for him to do a bit better and get himself back into the top 10 MIDS.
Jacobs: No for me, Too expensive and he has a couple under him now with more experience so potentially less time in the spotlight?
Walker: Overrated! He aint Buddy or Pav and other then those two SC is known for going small.
Jetta: Hot/Cold, and his hot isn't real good.
Bartel: new role is FWD will suit because he knows how to find the ball and goals are always around the bloke!
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.
At the time of posting Mitchell hadn't been upgraded yet, and my rookies are probably not set in stone yet...
With all the changes to the game this year, an unorthodox approach could win it much like Impromptu a few years ago.
Basically, I've started with my ideal backs/fds, but they are just spread over the field at the moment (with the benefit of MPPs whilst trading). Over the course of the season, when I upgrade fwds/backs I will shift one of these premiums into that position and will only really have to work on mids.
Expecting something like this by round 9-12
B: Goddard, Gibbs, Hartlett, Heppell, Vlaustin*, Goodes*
R: Cox, Roughead
F: Franklin, Bartel, Rockliff, Hawkins, Lecras, Karnezis
(*Hoping both become keepers, but will likely have to upgrade Goodes, if not both)
Team currently, after some minor changes.
Last year alot of coaches did same and he averaged 125+ from his first four games.
Leave him out at your peril.
That's a good point, I was thinking of swapping one of Walker/Bartel for Roughead. I would prefer to trade out Bartel but having 2 key position players in the forward line scares me because if they both have bad games they will score poorly.Ruck/FWD swing is ultra important in a 3 rookie ruck set up,there is no guarantees with them getting time this year. Could you stand to lose Walker or Zorko for a Roughhead/Ryder?
I like it apart from maybe Suban? What was the reasoning with picking him?Midfield will score you a ton of points, you'd be crossing your fingers on Currie getting the nod over Goldstein but all in all the balance isn't bad.
I think I have got my final time, interested to hear anyone's thoughts?
