Tex walker sounds very, errr...intellectually challenged.

Maybe he was drunk.

No secret he's a bogan, but he sounds like an unbelievably fun bloke. Great footballer to boot.

It's bloody hilarious. The walker chat was a pisser. lol

"Make sure the stubbies are cool when we come over and... see the Dees." - lmfao! gold :D

Very interesting interview. Bernie comes across as a quality and refreshingly honest person.

This. Great that he didn't just trot out the cliches. Seems like a great bloke to have a beer with; though hopefully he produces on the field first!

The thing that strikes me about all of our trades' including Vince is no one actually bagging them out for moving . I also like the fact we were honest with him. Am happy with this.

I feel like we've built up a good trade rapport with GWS now too. Definitely paid Brisbane, Collingwood and Adelaide well for Clark, Dawes and Vince respectively, so hopefully we're establishing a reputation as firm but fair at the trade table, and getting back some respect.

Vince will be a quality player and having seen his efforts in the firsts at Adelaide against North I get the feeling he will assist and develop and to some degree be a mentor of the likes of Gia at WB. He won't do anything special and in fact I think he will be recast as a HBF and eventually substituted to the bench to assist with coaching and team support. He'll be a favourite of Roosy I can just see it but I don't think he will be in our best 22 come our premiership year - whenever that will be :).

I do hope we get 4 or 5 years out of Vince, though.

Why is anyone over the age of 26 suddenly a role model, potential coach, leader, etc?

He signed a 4 year deal. He's going to be so valuable on and off the field.

This is good! Hopefully he can over the course of those four years give us a boost into the top 10 and even the 8, something it looked like Col was never going to do. Vince has experienced success in the last four years or five years which is really important. If he gets anywhere near his 2009 form, we'll be grand!

Especially in the case of Vince who has a few off-field incidents in his past and clearly loves a beer - nothing wrong with that, but doesn't scream 'leader'.

I am just hoping for a more consistent player than Colin was, and for him to put his body on the line to help our young guys develop.

vince isnt a leader but is a great clubman and will boost morale at the club. something important weve been lacking for a while. so much negativity has crippled the spirit of the players. cross on the other hand is full of leadership qualities.

A leader doesn't have to be a teetotaler.
