I would like Selwood and their first for our first and third. Gives us a pick in the first still for a mid.

I guess it all depends on the priority pick , so that would mean they upgrade from 6 to 2 and lose selwood ? Not sure they would go for that

Mentioned on SEN that Yarran could be interested in a move to Melbourne (presumably the Roos influence) - what would we be willing to give up for him? Did Mick influence the Neeld theory of 'If I don't want you I'll chuck you out for nothing'.... I hope so.

Maybe carlton would let us nibble with our 2nd round pick ?

They will ask for jack watts at first I'd think then it would be up to us

Hopefully pick 19 would satisfy them

Yeah, pick 19 is what I'd offer - if we get an end of 1st round PP we could offer both and then get a third rounder back perhaps.

Wow, surely that is overs... what happened to being able to draft a kid with potential instead of trading for an average older bloke?

I doubt he would fit under Roos' no dickheads policy anyway... his attitude is terrible.

I don't know, he never had attitude problems until Malthouse came in - obviously they don't see eye to eye.

Highly talented player - I meant their 2nd round pick, not 3rd round.

So like; 19 and 20 for Yarran and 28ish (?) - assuming they wouldn't just take one of them.

Maybe overs - I'm sure a few clubs would be interested, will drive his price up.

I hope we don't have a new coach, but anyway, I think any trade that involves pick 2 and Scooter would have the Eagles very interested. I think most can agree pick 2 alone would be overs (hence most on our board all for it) so I'd think there would have to be other players or picks involved to get it done.

Without knowing who the club has their eye on though and how good the very top end talent of this draft is (didn't expect us to finish this low or the possibility of trading for pick 2) it's hard to say how willing they would be to part with the second pick. But it would have to be something like that for it to actually happen, pick two in a straight swap would have us making out like bandits.

It's so refreshing to have a sensible Weagles supporter on our board :p Nice not for it to arise to become a Naitanui-Watts contest.

I would take Yarran. I think he really can play and the pea heart stuff is MB nonsense. If Mick tries to shed him, sure.

I can't see why we want Yarran, for a 3rd round pick maybe, but anything higher than that seems ridiculous. I guess I just don't rate him anywhere near as highly as some others here, but he goes missing for entire months at a time, and more so when things get tough. I really can't see how he will help with our current state of affairs.

I'm with you on this one, I have seen some great games from him and seen others where I had no idea he was on the ground. Happy for him to prove me wrong if we can get him for change.

Wouldn't take any notice of the Yarran rumour, also no chance of getting him for a 3rd round pick.

Heard you guys are heavily into Mitch Hallahan from the Hawks - would be a great pick up for your midfield.
Also will cost you next to nothing.

It would need to be P2 & P19 for Selwood and P6, but I'd doubt they would do it.

Even on my own board I bite my tongue at trade hypotheticals but this one is quite reasonable for a win/win situation if the Dees were into Selwood.

I'm still not 100% sold on Aish, I do think he has some amazing attributes but he appears to have the same body shape of his uncle (wiry) and may struggle like his uncle did to put on the muscle required to be an outstanding AFL player ( although if he went to Essendon he'd probably be a freakin beefcake by week 12 of pre season). So maybe, losing out on Aish but getting Selwood and a pick 6 would be a wise trade move

What could the Eagles offer for pick 2?

I understand Gaff and Ash Smith were both Demons supporters as kids. Gaff ex pick 4 aged 21, Smith ex pick 28(I think) and 23. Smith is the steak knives in the deal I will admit. That or an exchange of later picks.

Roos does like recycling those quick, running half back flankers so that does fit his SOP.

PS Congrats on getting Roos, hopefully the Dees can turn the corner and start moving up the ladder, all the Demon supporters out there deserve some success.

You are right. The Demons need players with work ethic and heart, Yarran has none of this.

Roos will only trade in players who fit his mantra and that is team first, hard working and for pick 2 of course skilful.

Are you ruling out Selwood for pick 2 there? There has been some talk about him this week... may not be completely untouchable for the right deal.

I guess your around the mark there but I think we would start by offering pick 2 and 19 plus a player maybe for gaff an selwood
Not sure gaff and smith( I can't say I know anything about him ) would be enough on its own but we would certainly look at gaff

I don't think we would go for Gaff with pick 2 (steak knives etc), we really need clearance players and midfield leaders, which, all due respect, Gaff is not. He would struggle at the Dees without the likes of Priddis and Selwood around him - he struggled enough this year anyway.

In fairness to Gaff, he is the first player tagged at the Eagles (basically being their best outside player).

He's a good bloke, hard worker and was a Dees fan growing up - we could do a lot worse than him for #2 (plus extras from WCE).

If we made that offer Gaff, I'd be expecting a lot more back then if we made it for Selwood though.

In order of preference, he'd probably be equal with Adams (if it's true we've talked to Selwood, Swallow and Adams).
