As much as it pains me to say it as a Geelong supporter, congratulations hawthorn. This premiership after all they went through this year, has to be one of the best in recent memory.
It doesn't seem that far-fetched that they could make it a 3 peat next year, and I think this would make them pass geelong and possibly brisbane for that matter, I have so much respect for Al Clarkson and the tremendous coaching staff at hawthorn, easily the best in the AFL

I am in San Diego and watched the game at the San Diego Lions GF party. There was a few who were interested in the game and were at the pub specifically to watch the game. The majority there randomly could not give a shit.

I managed to avoid 7s exorable coverage all day. Listened to the radio, watched fox, watched the game, such as it was, with the TV muted.

I think their performance is one of the worst in last ten years of Grand Finals

They clearly are talented but had no heart for the contest. A real dagger to the heart of the Swans culture today

Congratulations to the Hawks on going back to back. I didn't see a thorough dismantling happening like this at the start of the game. They had winners everywhere while the Swans gap from best player to least effective was huge.

It was evident early that the Hawks were on and Sydney as a team wasn't. The Hawks played better team football and there bottom 6 were much, much better than Sydney's.

As for the Norm Smith Hodge was an expected winner but personally I would have loved Lewis to win it. Had a huge impact.

Think the game may be a catalyst for the Swans to get James Frawley if salary cap/ benefits allows them to. Richards and Grundy toiled hard but Rampe was beaten comprehensively. They would have utilised Spangher today

What I don't understand is this assumption that Sydney have some kind of amazing strike power that Hawthorn will be unable to contain. Hawthorn have seven players who have kicked over 20 goals for the season. Three players have kicked over 40 goals.

Sydney have five players who have kicked over 20 goals for the season. One player has kicked over 40 goals - and this bloke is notoriously inaccurate.

Sydney's forward line is far easier to contain than Hawthorn's.

Happy with that. Only one reliable forward in Sydney's forward line and so it showed.
