Which is why I dont reccomend people bet money on the Brownlow based on the season a player has had
Heppell has played a terrific season, yet has not been a standout BOG as much as most would expect. Dangerfield and Johnson (susp) on the other hand most would say have been quiet, but these guys have at least 3-4 BOG's each at this stage i'd say.
You dont get votes for consistency, you get votes for being one of the 3 best players on the ground
Which is what I think Gray has achieved 10 to 12 times this year for 19 votes.
Only my opinion.

Selwood is pretty strongly placed IMO. Averages around 105 DT points a game in a top 2 side.. and Umpires love him!! JP Kennedy has had an awesome year as well so he's a close second for me.

I love Boak and think he has had a great season but I wouldn't have him in the top 10 for the Brownlow.

Gray's season >>>>>> Boak's season imho
I agree that Gray's season has been better, but Gray's polling history doesn't help his chances.

From my club Dangerfield will be lucky to be in our top five best and fairest but I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with 20 or so votes, almost double our next best (Sloane, Jacobs, Thompson, Smith).

I think Dangerfield is a monty for most votes for the Crows. Look out when he's fit and playing in a decent team!
Dangerfield – 19
Thompson - 11
Sloane - 10
Jacobs - 8
Smith - 7

haven't watched a lot of adelaide, assuming danger has been big in wins and will get more 3s?

Why can't we have both?

Seriously tho Gray top ten Boak top twenty imo

I think they'll be closer than you think in the Brownlow count. While Boak hasn't been as consistent as Gray, he has had a few standout games.

Any chance that Cotchin bobs up and wins it? He's a proven vote getter and even polled 19 in a "down year" last year. An article a couple of days ago has him currently between 17-24. I'd have him a chance at votes in the following games:

Gold Coast: 39 disposoals, 1 goal, 18 point loss, 0-2 votes
Carlton: 25 disposals, 1 goal, 12 point win, 1-3 votes
Bulldogs: 28 disposals, 1 goal, 2 point loss, ~2 votes
Brisbane: 32 disposals, 1 goal, 43 point win, 2-3 votes
Sydney: 33 disposals, 0 goals, 11 point loss, 0-1 votes
St Kilda: 31 disposals, 5 goals, 44 point win, 3 votes
Brisbane: 37 disposals, 0 goals 25 point win, 1-3 votes
GWS: 30 disposals, 1 goal, 27 point win, 1-3 votes
Adelaide: 28 disposals, 1 goal, 10 point win, 1-3 votes

Given the umpires love for him, there's every chance he polls 3 votes in quite a few of those games. A big last couple of weeks and he could be a smokey.

Doubt he wins it but will finish top 10. Has played well in our wins which is key to a good medal count.
